DMC4 is installing on my PS3 right now.
This slideshow is sick. Japanese DMC4 on my American PS3, but so far everything’s English. Capcom rules.
While I’m waiting, a story.
I got to the electronics store around 9:50. There was a MOTHER FUCKING LINE in front of the store. Oh well, nothing else I can do but get in line.
The store opens at 10, and we all start filing up the escalators to go up to the game floor, which is the 7th floor. Up on the 7th floor, I realize that Nintendo’s Smash Bros is also being released today. Talk about chaos.
Actually, I think I was only the first or second person to buy DMC4. Everyone else was there for Smash. Check this out
The empty shelf next to DMC4 is where Smash Bros would be.
It was crazy. I mean, there were a lot of guys lined up sure, but there were also a fair amount of young girls, middle-aged women, middle-aged women pushing baby strollers…there was even one woman there in a fucking kimono! About half the people in the line were buying Smash AND a Wii.
Oh well. I’ve got my DMC4, and therefore I do not care. And as the download to my PS3 is about to be completed…farewell SRK. I’m going on a journey of awesome.
I have pretty good consistant success with it. Most ANY single hit I’m good for getting a just frame stock, and in most combos. The other thing to master that helps in a continuous combo is to get your gun charged while doing an air combo to keep shit alive. I really need to get my PS3 fixed by the time this game drops…
They’ll probably be scanned and zipped on the internet the day after they come out.
Wow, the copies of DMC4 look so sad sitting there untouched while every motherfucker in the building save Azrael is holding at least one copy of Brawl. 
I can’t wait till feb 5th. A word of advice to every srk’er here. Stay away from gamefaqs until you beat the game. Holy hell, every god damned thread over there is a spoiler.

You need to step it up. You can install the game like a PC game.

All PS3 games can install, but you’re better off not doing it if you don’t want to waste memory on your PS3. The benefit of installing the game is to cut down on load times.
Not all the games. And even then, some are mandatory, some are not. For example, DMC4 is mandatory, while with Ninja Gaiden you can play the game either way. To put the game on your disk drive allows no or very very little load-time, much smoother game play experience

No dumbass, it’s not the whole game, just a little installation thing that lets your game run faster.
Think of it like a Sega Saturn Rom cart, just inside your game.
Eh . .you never know. Time always seems to be a big deal with these anticipated releases. Maybe there were some things they didnt have time to throw in.

The demo is Mission 2…sorta. There’s a part taken out and a part thrown in. That’s all I’ll say. Berial seems a little harder than he was in the demo.
You can choose from Human and Devil Hunter at the start of the game. Human is for DMC newbies, Devil Hunter’s for the vets.
Streak and Blue Rose’s charge shot must be bought. You find the Devil Grip ability the same way as in the demo.
I’ve had zero problems/issues with the camera so far.
The mission select screen has a “Select Character” option. Of course, right now only Nero shows up. But, awesome. :tup:

So there are no codes to unlock everything like in DMC3? That sucks. I want to play as super dante/nero, but there is no way in hell I’ma beat dmd mode though.
What difficulty are you playing on?
On some games it will do it for you automatically, like asking you to wait until “installation” or “setup” is complete
On some games the menu actually has an “install” function
And no, it’s not that once the games are installed you don’t need the disc anymore. Think more like once the games are installed the data will be read from your hard drive rather than the the spinning blu ray
