That’s probably my only half complaint about the development of the game. The team is too concerned about the devil arm features to have Nero do anything different as far as guns or weapons. I’m sure you could come up with a lot of weapons that haven’t been used in a DMC game before that would be fun. Can I get a bo staff of some type plz??
This will probably be almost like Nero’s “DMC1 incarnation”. Cool sure, but pretty vanilla until he’s fleshed out more.
because IIRC Virgil’s (HOLD /_\ ) sheath sword attack in DMC3SE took at least 4-5 seconds of PAUSE in a chaotic battle but when it finally connected it boosted your meter tremendously.
That swing throw in this game just doesnt give enough style points to take so long to complete.
Actually, from playing the demo, that throw is decent given the situation. When Nero starts swinging that Frost around, it hits anything around him, which gives him style points, so it’s one of those moves you only wanna use when there are other enemies around to make up for the long animation time.
Yeah I feel ya on that one. I just want to rock the game now. I have already reserved. I just want the damn demo to keep me entertained till then. I hope we get it this thursday.
Just finished those last two episodes of the anime. The series as a whole sucks hard.
DMC Anime
[details=Spoiler]Each episode is basically 19 minutes of story build up, 30 seconds of Dante owning a random monster, and another minute and a half for the ending.
Fuck, even the “final battle” was only 30 seconds or so. And Dante didn’t even activate his DT. So every demon in this series is incredibly weak or Dante has a gameshark.
And then there’s Dante himself, who’s a typical strong but silent anime character, when we all know he’s nothing like that in the games.[/details]
Typical Strong but Silent Anime Character? Were we watching the same anime? He ate pizza, was constantly in debt, and was fucked over by women. That sounds like Dante to me. He was fairly talkative too. Helluva lot better than DMC2 Dante (not saying much, I know). That and Episode 4’s bitchfight made the whole series worthwhile.
