i remember people use to complain about the difficulty of DMC3. Developers took notice of that and tried to make the sequel a bit easier, people are still complaining because the enemies arent ‘agressive’. Also, those are fuckin low tier enemies.
Exactly. They’re pretty much training dummies. And anyone, like me, who thought the enemy wasn’t aggressive enough simply turned up the diffculty. Which is why I said it’s too early to judge the AI because we haven’t seen what the game is capable of. I just wanted more coordination between the enemies, more teamwork. I wanna know who was complaining about DMC3’s difficulty. Did they expect to be lazy and win without putting in some effort?
If you read some of the reviews on DMC3, you’ll see how they talk about how the game is very difficult and ‘cheap’. When the game first came out, there were other forums out there like gamespot/gamefaqs complaining how the difficulty too.
DMC3 is only hard at the beginning due to the low life bar, no Devil Trigger, and Cerberus being one of the harder bosses in the game. It’s kinda frustrating in the beginning, but once you level up a bit the enemies don’t really seem like threats anymore except for maybe final Vergil.
you know im gonna have to agree on that one, ESPECIALLY when you dont have devil trigger, but after that, its just a walk on the park, except when you hit those twin guys in the middle of the game you know??
SO play on Dante Must Die. Thats a nice run for your money.
Kinda have to give it to Itagaki on that, especially since Kobayashi was dissing NG: Dragon Sword which looks like it’s gonna dominate all other DS action games.
Well that’s great. Go NG DS…
Now back to DMC4. I take it Capcom hasn’t even given a hint to any weapon Nero might have? C’mon Nunchucks and Devil Bringer!
i dont see why Nero would need any new weapons. i actually see him just lvl’n up what he already has. i wonder if he’ll be able to grab multiple drones and pwn them. plus, i hope he has diffrent fighting styles like Dante did in 3.
I’m pretty sure that Nero will have multiple weapons. Keep in mind that the L2/LTrigger lets him “rev” up his weapon (Red Queen). Basically, this button functions as a weapon/attack modifier. So its safe to assume that Nero’s other weapons will be applied to this. Hell, they might even have different functions besides increasing damage.
So what the heck happened to the Alastor? Is it in DMC 3?
No, DMC3 is pre DMC 1…so maybe if it will ever appear again then 4 would be the place.
:annoy:Damn you Capcom…
How you give no explanation as to what happened to DMC1 weapons and DMC3 weapons?
Well anything in DMC1 can now be explained in 4, so give them a chance. Remember, the timeline goes:
3
1
4
2
My guess is that they’re just in his collection (look at the wall in his shop in the first game…there are like 6 swords hanging up) and he just sticks to the weapons he’s most comfortable with. Because if you think of DMC in a more “realistic” way why wouldn’t he just use his favorite weapon if it gets the job done? He’ll use other stuff as he finds it, but it’s all about what’s most familiar. So nothin had to happen to the weapons, he just put em away.
I have suspected Dante of just having a collection and I understand keeping Rebellion(I tend to always have it) but Cereberus? Well I guess it’s just his favorite sword then. That and it’s from his pop.
they’re in game items, who cares?

The weapons page has the alastor listed, so I guess it will be making a come back.
so is yamoto…
i hope theres some kind of nunchuck weapon for either Nero or Dante
