We Need More Tekken 6 Players in Seattle

Simon!!! Is that you?

Yes. Sup super hoe

Yeah it’s kinda backwards. High block and look out for low blocks. I think the way the game plays is pretty gross. Do all these gross jabs that are safe on block and just turtle until someone does an unsafe launcher, then you punish with a launcher into a juggle, bound, more juggle… if you carry them to a wall you juggle 'em more.

And then there’s the whole 80 characters with a million moves thing. I can imagine always getting stomped by some random ass new move I’ve never seen. Like that thing julia does where she kicks low and punches high. How do you even block that? Is it a low or a high?

Heihachi. Believe. Pain.

That Julia attack must be blocked low. I know it sounds weird but if you think of it as blocking the low, you will also be ducking the high. If you don’t block low then the kick will hit you. Just think of that move as a funky looking low attack. Problem solved.

Makes sense. What a whore. Throwin a high punch out that you gotta duck.

you should be more worried about mad axes…

Still a 2 break?

1+2 in BR.

she has good M/A mixups in this game. Also if you get hit by M/A, if you try to stand straight up and dont tech roll, she gets that funky looking low kick/high punch move, but its @ perfect distance, so the high punch whiffs, but she gets a third attack, that does more dmg as a natural combo, that knocksdown and can wall splat too.

Jabs are ok, but you can punish the shit out of them by sidestepping becayse they have garbage tracking most of the time

I thought it was always a 1+2 break. Also good stuff Steve I didn’t know that she could get that if you try to stand up.

Been really wanting to play this, how are the sticks at GW? Better than SFIV i hope.

probably about the same as SFIV, which is actually worse cause you kinda have to hit your diagonals…

I will be @ GW on Sunday the 4th if anyone wants to play or learn basic shit about the game.

I can break this down a little.

Julia
Good ground moves, requires you to know the range of all her good moves. Combos are hard but worth practicing. Deadly at wall.

Lili
Braindead easy to play, combos are easy to execute.

Anna
Easy combos - but I feel its harder for her to win than it was in T5DR. Good at walls.

Nina
Hard character to play but versatile with many hours of practice/good execution. Excellent wall carry but she racks the damage up slowly compared to Lili/Julia.

Xiaoyu
Tricky character, uses stances. Mastering stance movement will be directly tied to your success with this character. The combos are easy.

Asuka
Easy-medium combos depending on how good you are at dashing. Counter hit based, Koreans have her as the second worst character but if you stick with her she can win as seen in Tekken Crash.

Christie
Underestimated because she’s always compared to Eddy Gordo; however she is strong. Very stance based and distance based. Medium risk high reward if you can play her correctly by using the right stances/moves at the right distance. Some of her moves have 2 cancels.

Roger Jr.
Good assortment of throws and good poking. Most of the combos are pretty easy you just have to learn to deal with her very short arms.

Leo
Easy to learn, small movelist but she can utilize most of it to the fullest extent. Looks like a guy.

Alisa
Biggest backdash in the game, very poke oriented. Two vids

The second vid showcases what happens if you use her pokes without thinking. In the 4th round Lei just went outside of her range and punished with big damage.

Zafina
Even though she’s low tier her moves do good damage and are unforeseeable at the beginning. If you feel like learning her I’m sure she will take you as far as your skill allows.

Panda
Easy to learn but limited. Bad wall carry and gets hit by everything at the wall.

19 days away till Tekken is out for the PS3/360!!!

Yeah-yuh.

So why are only the females tiered. Are you not allowed to play male characters in tournament lolol come on heartnana

I kinda wanna play LARS but I should probably stick to Asuka 'cause she’s the only character I know combos or moves for

I need to reserve this game.

Because someone asked for a female-only tier list?
