It has been brought to my attention from a friend that there is a “problem” with the Tekken 6 scene pertaining to the new cats who just started playing. The issue at hand that my friend has is that the Tekken 6 sessions that the veterans are throwing are NOT being posted in the NW section of SRK. This is, for the most part very true.
The mass of the Tekken community communicates (I.e. this is where we post sessions) on and around TZ (tekkenzaibatsu.com), period. Also, a good place to find weekly sessions where you can meet new peopke and learn more about Tekken is on seattletekken.com.
In conclusion, the best way to thward off any bullshit about not knowing about who/what/when sessions are going on I am suggesting that you make an account on TZ AND SEATTLETEKKEN to find out where the sessions are going down! For those of you that have recently purchased a copy of Tekken 6, I hope that you are still playing when you can and I hope that you will start taking Tekken seriously as we have a lot of people willing to show/help you at these sessions.
So again, if you don’t want to elevate your game in Tekken that is fine but do not expect to learn much about Tekken if all you do is post on SRK!!!

A Tekken 6 patch will be out by or around Thanksgiving! I’m guessing this is the netcode patch that has been keeping me from playing Tekken online. If this is true, then you will see me on XBL very soon once again!

IT is the tz crew’s responsibility to cater to the SRK players. I will try to get the tz peeps to post on here about session information. This may take some time to catch on, but we will work on it 
Oh shit, I just didn’t think about that. I’ll definitely post here about future T6 gatherings, although that might not be for a while now that I’m going back to work. Need to get a sense of what my schedule will be like.
@KKF if you can get the TZ peeps to post on SRK then I will be impressed. Otherwise, its just like I said…

Are the tekken vets really down to help though? Mark is a gangster and helped me with Lars (not to mention a copy of the game :lovin:), but at that tourney/gathering at Pat’s everyone else completely ignored my questions, or maybe they couldn’t hear me?

Yeah, I was kinda sad to see tepid post “what’s up with this weekend?” and then “OMG FUN SESSION GUYS” with no information in between. I could go post at tz but you know I’d rather not show up to a tekken gathering by myself with nobody I know there. If it’s on SRK perhaps a few of us could band together and be scrubs together. Power in numbers.
Yeah honestly it was kind of a pain to get to a session. It’s hard for me to make the “open” gatherings in the south end, and most of the gatherings in the north end wanted “Tekken credentials.” Thanks to Rob for letting me join in and see what the game was about on Saturday. The people I met there were helpful and told me shit I needed to break or what I could do with my scrubby Kazuya.
Anyways, every week Thursday me and about 3-4 other peeps from UW get a small session going. We’re all scrubs so anyone, vet or scrub, is welcome to join in and get their T6 fix! No one from srk except the sf4 players seem to show up and even that seems to be dying with Thursday SF4 gameworks… so it’s alll T6! The game’s fun as hell and it’s great not having to put up with ultra shenanigans so we’re not going to drop this game anytime soon.

edit- seems to be console perfect. From what I can tell…hitting all my combos with the same timing. Haven’t tried ad-hoc mode yet with anyone…but willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that it’s 100 times better than the console version lol.
it just takes time to get down. Like what I do is as soon as I hit 4 I hold d/f and then wait for her to do the crouch dash thing, once it starts i just go to u/f and then get the timing down for the 1. It took me like a day and a half to actually get it, but when you pull it off it looks so tight. Especially cause you finish with b+2, 1+2 THE TIGHTEST BOUND MOVE IN THE GAME!
