STYLE 2 HARD. optimized backdash.
This is a fast percise backdash. I think this is the fastest way to backdash.
it eliminates a neutral press from other backdashes.

~ = very quick movement, be careful. try to be precise

b~B, d/b~b~n~B, d/b~b~n~B, d/b~b~n~B,

1. Double tap BB to start backdash. hold B. do not return the stick to neutral.
2. from holding B, slide the stick to d/b
3. when releasing the stick to neutral, manipulate the stick so u release down before u release back. (try to hear a 1,2 double click if using japanese stick)
4. tap back and hold back for movement.
5. from holding B, slide the stick to d/b
6. repeat

when i use this, i try to make my guy look like he doesnt duck. just moves backwards.
on pad, bdc is easy to learn. and its easy to do fast.

on stick its hard to do a fast back dash cancel
u can use this way of pressing the stick to go into back dash from ducking.
From ducking position holding, d/b~b~n~B

-Forward dash cancel

it is possible to do the back dash cancel and use it to go forwards.

f~f, d/f~f~n~F, d/f~f~n~F, d/f~f~n~F

this can give u a auto low parry chance. faster u dash more low parry chance.
i use both these movements in a total combination to be able to move freely back and forth at ridiculous speeds. its fun too try it.
very useful to make opponents miss moves.

steve is a hard to use character, you need to be able to do his wall carry combo and his ducking cancel combo to stand a chance. being able to combo f,f+2 off PAB d+2 is also required.

why does Kwyjibo123 have to be able to perform some of the hardest technical execution based moves in the game as a prerequesite to play steve?

you cant even do that shit and u play steve. (ive seen in casuals) and you have been playing since what? 2004-5.

I am not able to duck cancel consistantly. but i seem to do well enough.

Kwyjibo123- ignore that advice. here is a list of steves top moves. try to create a fight style using these moves. these moves are battle tested good moves. best of their classes low,mid,high. if you go to tw find me, and ill can explain or demonstrate in better detail.

Did U see us invade? Were so good U guys didn’t even notice us. That was stealth at its finest. No, actually our driver had an urgent family emergency so we couldn’t go. I would’ve let U guys know that we couldn’t make it if I had Internet access. I also tried calling John, but my phone sucks and when I could get through, John didn’t pick up.
