Finally got enough gold to buy my first item, Red Wind God hair for my Heihachi. He is well on his way to becoming akuma-hachi.
Something worth noting for all the people that are learning the game. This is regarding throw breaking. The way you break throws is either 1 (opponent’s left arm extending out), 2 (opponent’s right arm extending out), or 1+2 (both arms extending out). You can practice throw breaking in practice mode. There’s an option called defensive training. What you can do is select moves from your opponent’s movelist. What I used to do was select a 1 and 2 grab, along with the opponent’s best 1+2 grab. When you start it, the game will randomize which grab comes out. It’s a good way to train yourself to identify grabs, and to break them. Breaking them midmatch is another story altogether, but this should help a lot.

The slut has gotten made over, and it fuckign sucks that one of her outfits will be “tuned” for campaign mode. trust me ppl you want to get to the end of that, I can get through one of the bonus stages and rack in 1.6 million gold in one run with dying on the boss. Especially if TW’s is gonna be on a PS3, I know some ppl want to use custom costumes…i know I fucking do even if only one player can rock that shit, we will coin flip for that side PLEASE BELIEVE.
Holy shiet online is hella slow! Even the two half combos (because I can’t do the full combo as I’m lame as shiet in this game…for now) I know, I couldn’t pull them off. So I ended up mashing…and winning.
Yay. Can’t wait for some training tonight!
I was actually pretty pleased with the online vs Omne, though he scraped me pretty bad I didn’t feel like the online got in the way of me trying to do anything. I know he dropped a few combos due to a bit of lag though.
Definately gonna keep practicing and trying to break bad habits. This game is pretty damn fun!
Someone made a crazy ass flash game to help players break throws. I forget the name of it but it was tight.
can somebody translate some of the moves list symbols for me?
what does it mean whe shit is in [ ] and what does the * mean when it’s in a combo string? also I’m guessing a solid (white) arrow in a direction means to hold it and hollow (black) means to tap?
