Personally, when I was learning ST, I picked two characters. I had my main, and my “backup” for those matches that were just really really hard. But like others above have said, it’s better to intimately know a matchup than be a “jack of all trades” player.
But I don’t think it’s a bad idea to go for two characters, since that’s in line with tournament setups. You play your main to start, and if you have a really bad matchup you have another option.
Anyone near downtown Seattle that would be down for playing games at some point? I’m kinda isolated in my living situation to actually travel anywhere to play.
somehow you were moved into a subset of my buddy list that I never check. moved you back to where you belong. I play 3S, Marvel, ST, Tekken 5, KoF, Garou, all that good stuff.
Prepare for the cheap tactics, thats the only way lothar knows how to play. haha. If you came back to portland you could play games. But maybe the asian girl quotient is higher up in seattle.
I don’t know how to get anywhere in Seattle, much less anywhere outside of Seattle. Where the fuck is Renton, maybe I’ll try broadening my horizons and venturing there.
Kabuki: Slide, noogie x Infinite for the extra win. I think I’ll be coming back to Portland for Memorial Day weekend, any gaming opportunities? Last time I came I called Mark but that ass didn’t answer his phone.
XTG: That’s okay. Street Fighter > Bad Hygiene… sometimes.
