I say go with how other prominent 5v5 have done with deciding a team. Just pick a team captain, and let the captain decide on the members. If the captain is of a high skill caliber, s/he’d be able to determine who best represents the region. That goes for skill level along with content of character. It gets done quick that way. Less griping, and everyone can hate on just one person afterwards. :china:
Was anything else decided regarding the format of the 5v5? I recall some dialog about whether it should be no duplicate characters and such. That would be interesting if it were the case. It would also help thin out the choices for members.

Axel, PLEASE remember to bring your octagonal gate? I’d like to try it to see it helps my DP execution which is pretty poor on a square gate.
Pablo, are you bringing your AE stick? I think I will use that one tommorow if it’s cool, unless the octagonal gate helps a whole lot.

Julian, bring a DC stick or two anyway. We’ve been short on converters for a while, since mine got fried. More ST players seem to prefer the Japanese sticks anyway.
I will bring mine since a lot of people seemed to like it.
Hey… could somone possibly bring me 4, 3x10mm Screws with nuts? I tried Loews and Fry’s and they didn’t have any, if you do I can have a second Sanwa DC joystick for us to use…

For your converter problems- If you guys need to play on DC, why not just make some PCBs for DC? Swap 'em from PS2 to DC as needed (only takes about 2 minutes per swap), and it’ll only cost you like… 6.50 per PCB? Controller+wire(which I have in spades)+quick disconnects (which I will have in spades shortly).

That team has hella variety and up here only a couple of people really use the same characters. I would’ve tried to pitch for JTM to be on the team but he went ghost/patrick swayze. So yeah.
But if anyone has any objections, I say we could do this here on some champion/gladiator type shit. Like if anyone thinks someone shouldn’t be on the team, they can challenge that person for their spot and shit. That’d be crazy, some concrete jungle every man (except Julien cause no one would pick him) for himself, ROYAL RUMBLE type shit ya dig? Survivor Series my nigga.
