Variety improves over-all game play.
Different match ups (including ones people find extremely frustrating, like Claw for some reason.) help you understand the game better, thus making you better at the game over all.
So, tier whore away.
I think it’s about time I fill in the gap in my character variety, I need someone who can win the matchups that DJ just can’t handle.
I’ve narrowed it down to Dhalsim and Dictator, and I’m leaning towards Dhalsim.
What do you guys think?
Do it, Alex. We need a serious Dhalsim. Practice up and show Gian how Sim is played. But I should make it clear that I know nothing about ST or match-ups, so I don’t know who Mr. Ugly loses to, and who would compliment him.
I think it’s bomb and funny that we’re laughing like maniacs in nearly all of the Super Turbo videos that are on the internet.
I think I’ve personally **complimented **him many times on his mullet, his rhythm, and his choice of letters that are symmetrical across the Y axis (something Guile should take note of for his tattoos).
On the other hand, Claw could make an effective **complement **to Mr. Ugly, as he does well in Ugly’s only two bad matchups (at least according to Akiba).

So with the LAST ranking battle coming up, how does everyone feel about our scene as a whole? Do you think we’re shitty/decent/good? Do you think we’ve made good strides as far as improvement goes? Is it only a matter of time before we begin beasting at a national level at this game? What do you guys think?
My thoughts are that first and foremost, I find it completely random, that the second biggest scene in Seattle is for Super Turbo. I can’t say that there’s ever really been a ST scene here (at least since the introduction of MvC2). But it’s good to see that people are willing to come together and make a good scene for it. I think there’s plenty of room for improvement as we’re still learning of course. As far as who I was most impressed by, I’ll say UMBROOLLASTYLE impressed me the most. L-A, L-A, A A A under my Umbrella, L-A, L-A, A A A A! Nigga is too trill with Dee Jay. Keep up the good shit fool. I will say that I don’t really think anyone besides Julien is Evo ready though for ST.
Ajay-Next time you’re at an event and you wanna enter but you’re broke, let me know man I got you. It’s no biggie (smalls). The more the better!
From what I’ve read the scene seems good. And I know a few people when I get back that’d be down. (I get back probably october or so). So, keep it alive till then. And we should try to get other scenes going/re-introduced like CvS2, 3S or just something completely new…iunno what, just, something.
From what understand (and kenny can vouche for this) is that Kent has a relativly small but productive Melty Blood Community. And since (I think) it has online play via. ip sharing, it’d be possible. But then again, unless everyone played ReAct or got a swap magic + Act Cadenza, I can’t see the scene going to far.
Same with any Doujin fighter like Big Bang Beat or Monster to name a few. Maybe the above mentioned 3S or CvS2.
And, I’ll probably FINALLY cave and play Tekken when Tekken 6 comes out. Just for Rock Howard. =3
And I MIGHT play Soul Calibur Legends, but, doubtful.
I feel like the local ST scene is actually overtaking Marvel in terms of organization, presence on the forums, desire for improvement, and in attracting new blood (due to accessibility). It’s very interesting especially because, like Mandel said there has never really been a scene for the game here. I think things will only improve for the ST community. Even if things start crapping out a little bit, when ST:HD Remix hits, interest will be prolly be at an all time high. I know i’ll be playing. Good times to come for Super Turbo.
Good fuckin post Evan. Everything you said was dead on. Everything you mentioned (besides what I talked about at Zach’s concerning Marvel) is why I’m quitting.
I think by next Evo, Seattle will have a shot at Evo. If we keep playing at a serious level until then, we’ll be monsters! 
but I don’t think we’re ready this year, aside from Julien (which means he better attend!)
