I’m in. Should I bring my PS2 and/or Dreamcast? Is anyone else bringing CCC2? I thought that this was a ST training session? I’ll need beans and cuervo if we’re gonna break out any SNK.

It’s highly recommended people bring their own sticks, and someone bring a CCC2, I have the modded xbox and a stock PS2.

I have a DC somewhere around here too.

What’s TDC2? I don’t have any converters, I have two stock Agetec DC sticks.

I’m right about to change the buttons on your stick right now in fact… I didn’t get the chance to go to Fry’s to buy the quick disconnects yet, I will get them on my way home tommorow…so I’ll just solder first and then you come tommorow and see if I did the button layout right and everything is working, in which case I will wire the QDs for you.

I need to buy a happ stick and buttons so I can wire a dual shock into my SFAC stick (which is currently an empty box with no parts) and sell that shit for profit$$$ since I am hella behind on bills.

BTW What the hell, my stick works perfectly on the PS2 here, I am not sure what it is about CCC2 that doesn’t like some of my sticks, because I can play Raiden 3 and Tekken 5 on the PS2 mini here and all the buttons and joystick inputs work as normal…

I useed to use Dee Jay quite abit before I moved up here…actually almost exclusivley…don’t know why I stopped.

I should strt using him and get MAXIMUM shved into my hair.

DeeJay seems pretty solid to me. He’s got nice pokes, multiple ways to advance while maintaining his charge, ways to advance through fireballs (as exhibited at the last tournament by Alex–to my amazement), beefy combos/punish, and reliable juggles with his AA. Too bad his in game sprite is ugly. If he were not, I’d take him up in place of Claw in a heartbeat. I’m almost tempted to play him, but don’t want to get shanked if I were to pick him in public (i.e. at a con or tournament).

Thanks for the link, Alex. I’m sure I can pull the double flip kick now that I know the frame data for it. If people don’t mind putting up with Claw for a few more games until I have it down. Then, if we’re both at Julian’s on Sunday, you can teach me Mr. Ugly. We’ll see if I can handle the rhythm.

but I don’t think I’m going to be able to make it tomorrow, I hope you guys weren’t relying on me for CCC2/sticks

As far as I know, in ST its pretty important to understand the matchups. If like half the ST scene is playing Deejay it sorta hurts everyone overall. Thats really sort of a suck for the people that are seriously trying to get ready for EVO. You guys could practice for months just to lose at the character select screen before the match even starts, cause you aren’t experienced in the matchup that you are in.

I thought about it. I’d rather play boxer/claw, though. Dhalsim gets too old too fast. Half screen poke>fireball>fireball>jump>dive kick>flame>poke>etc.
