I hate turtling with Gief, but it works. The fuck? Full of lulz.
There are block strings in the game, which one of the things I actually like, but shit comes out so slow that I just repeatedly mash crouching jab to keep things interesting.
Another positive about this game is Abel, since I can’t play Gief. He is either boring or frustrating. I would rather have Street Fighter EX2 Gief than this current version. At least with Abel I can be on offense. Once I get my ultra I just turtle hella hard, wait for my opponent to do something and I just roll, cr. fierce, into ultra. Hella satisfying.
Also, Sakura is very nice. For the first time, I may actually use a female character.

I got this nickname when i was living in the PI…For some reason Baklas were attracted to me…They would give me free haircuts, free food, getting stalked, etc…all the time who i never met…Well there was this one bakla who pretty much fell in love with me…Since i didn’t hunger for the dick i had turn him down & his gifts that he bought me…Well he tried to kill himself i guess with pills & shit…So ever since then my friends & family called me baklakiller…

I cannot freaking unlock gouken. Got everyone else plus akuma unlocked. Had 2 perfects, 3 ultras, still akuma showed up. Tried different variations of ultra/perfs still only akuma shows.
Gah. Frustrating. Is there some sort of random factor involved?

Alex Lothar is a beast. I am still trying to figure out who to play. So far the characters I have started to enjoy have an uphill battle most of the time. The safe bet seems to be ryu, but my fascination with half naked muscular men in tights keeps drawing me towards Gief and Abel.
I guess for the time being I will keep getting beat down until I get used to this game. The only bad part is that thanks to live I see myself wasting absurd amounts of time on this game. Damn the internet.
Damn. Well I guess we’ll see if this is the kind of stuff they’ll attempt to patch, or if they’ll leave it. I think they should leave it until Fei starts wrecking shit at tournaments.
It’s a tough link with the s.hp and if they mess up the timing it’s a free command throw… Plus I don’t think Fei has an easy time with Abel. Doesn’t worry me too much. It also works on Seth, but who cares.
As for finding the right character for me, I don’t really know who to choose either. I’m gravitating more towards Boxer now though. In a game like this where jabs are king, Boxer takes the cake. Other than that though, no one else really stands out.
EDIT: Oh and BodomSoldier (not sure what his SRK name is) has a pretty solid Dictator.
EDIT2: Also, I wish Shoryukens beat my jump-ins cleanly. Trading with a Jab SRK against Sagat/Ryu sucks, free Ultra for them. I never thought I’d see the day when I jump in and in my head I am praying, “PLEASE DON’T TRADE” at least with FADC they have to work for it.
I played boxer today just for fun, and the dude is a beast. Jumping Fierce seems to beat out a lot of stuff or at least trade. Things like shoryukens and whatnot. I may try to use him for real in this game.
Been thinking about Boxer as well, haha. I like charge characters but wish I could play them. Looking at a few other people too, so hopefully I can make up my mind before March 20th.
Word! Who was the one guy playing El as well? I only got to see one match of his, but wanted to see him more since he’s been playing longer and I can bite off him (no shame, baby!).
I was thinking about the timing for the loop but I’m still trying to get his challenge mode combos 100%, but right now I’m like at 30% able to pull them off successfully. Need more training mode.
