I really want to rematch Frank and also play Riki Oh at Zach’s next time. Bison Mirrors are retarded yet fun at the same time. I feel like “ROUND ONE, FIGHT” both players devil’s reverse backwards is the closest thing I will ever get to ballet.
Shit was crazy…especially this at 4:28:

Too good.
And congrats to Cole!
I like how Seth is speechless.
that was a really really good match!
I did play you once at Zach’s but that’s all. And yeah it’s funny because I know the other player will DR away, but I still do the same thing every time lol
i have the soul calibur stick and i like it but i trust it about as much as i trust my xbox to last. it feels like shit and it feels like its made cheap. i know theres more gross shit about it than good but for 50 bucks swoop that shit and when you find a deal on a better stick swoop that too so when people come over and they need a stick they can play on the soul calibur joint. thats my plan. i got mine for 40 bucks but paul lee said he got the ps3 one for 15. you just gotta be able to find one.
anybody down to mod my wii hori to work with 360? i have the wireless controller and the wii stick. ill pay for your labor. hope this is ok to ask, if not let me know and ill delete or you can edit for me.
I meant when it counts. :karate:
It was an exhibition tournament, so like Wiz said on another thread they can invite whoever the fuck they want, lol.
That was pretty beast, and his footsies games is as beast as ever lol, I need to work on my game more now this whole tournament along with the nationals has just gotten me even more hyped for EVO.
I like how people are saying Poongko sucks now cause he didn’t win a game… even though it was a one game round robin tourney lol, all his rounds were pretty damn close and that weird ass style of his was doing pretty well even though he was getting punished to hell for all the whiffs he was doing, lol.
He lost to Justin, but I had to wonder, are there any Rufus players in Korea? Cause I sure as hell haven’t seen or heard of one.
Yeah the soul caliber stick is like a more fragile EX2 with more buttons.
He (barely) lost to Justin and sure was a lot more competitive against Daigo than Wong was.
man i hate the button layout on the fighting stick 3’s AND the se stick. lol sad to say it but thatd be for the homies when they come over
Regarding Poongko, I just think most people are happy that he lost due to all the hype he got over the past few months. I mean if you got people in America rooting for Justin over you, you know people must be sick of you.
That explanation is invalid. Weird ass style? You mean scrub mixed with flash? It’s a fighting game, people are making up excuses for him when in all reality, he proved that he did the worst.
No Rufus players being in Korea is a dumb excuse…so it’s to say that when we all got peaced out by Dan here, we all said “It’s time to expose ourselves to some Sagat now.” A national champion should already HAVE a set gameplan against EVERYONE of the cast…but because he has no good Rufus to play against, we take Justin’s win away? I know that your not SAYING your taking Justin’s win away, however with a back handed comment like that, it’s pretty obvious that your making up an excuse for him on to why he lost to Justin.
For the record, I’ve always thought that Poongko sucked. Dating back to the “Korean Ryu videos” I remember having hot debates with people as to why I thought he sucked, yet people are still all over them nuts. On a different note, the dude lost to Haunts too. This is nothing against Haunts, but if your a National Champion, you need to be representing harder then getting beat by a solid intermediate level player.
What won the tournament? Solid play, not flash.
Daigo was pretty flashy so i dunno lol
How was he flashy? Doing combos your supposed to do?
What are some of your guys thoughts on the Daigo Jwong matchup?
I noticed that Jwong tried a lot of things that weren’t neccessarily safe, I.E. lots of dive kicks, messiah kicks…and Daigo just srk’d them all. Normally applying that kind of pressure is ok, but it seems like that was his gameplan and once it just didnt work, s hit the fan.
Do you think that points towards not having good enough players that regularly punish those atttempts when hes playing back here in the US? What do you guys think?
Those dive kicks would normally have been safe on most players. Daigo was able to read into his playstyle, and assume that an srk would be a good move to use at that specific time. I mean, to put it simply, whenever Daigo sees Justin go into the air at a close range, he knows that a dive kick is happening…fortunately for him, he has good enough reactions to bust out a srk right then and there.
Justin played well, just not well enough. Naturally, we don’t have the skill level that Daigo has in the states here. In all honesty, Justin’s playstyle wasn’t one that could normally be “punished” per se. It was your typical Daigo match to be honest, one in which Daigo read exactly what his opponent was going to do, built a strategy to beat his opponents, and in doing so, Justin couldn’t adapt quickly enough to win.
It’s going to be darn near impossible to consistently play the level that Daigo and Iyo are at. You have to understand that Japan is about the size of California with incredible players…It can pretty much be said that the power 20 could scrape 95% of the US. On top of that, I would even place a bet that the top 5 in Japan right now are probably all better then Justin is at this moment. When you begin to think about the availability of arcades in Japan, the skill level in Japan, the dedication that they have, it’s only natural for them to take home the big one.
CAN we win against them? I don’t disbelieve the actual possiblity of a player here in the US winning against the top players in Japan, however, consistency wise, Japan has it.
Mickey vs Poongko money match.
LET’S GO
Wow stop riding Japan’s dick Mickey
Curious, what character does Poongko main?
