We Need More SFIV Players in Seattle

To be honest I think it’s assholish to not say anything to “good game” either, it’s not that hard to say “Yeah”, “GG” or even grunt a response. And it’s true that the vast majority of SF people have very little in the way of social skills.

But I grew up in Chicago arcades where gangbangers were threatening to kick my ass over the game all the time when I was 7 years old, so you should probably not whine about not getting a butt-patt after the game, homie.

I’m surprised people expect video game nerds to have social skills. People are in it to win it, not to converse with people. Are the cabs at GW head-to-head? Maybe they couldn’t hear you say GG. I know back when I went there I couldn’t hear anyone say anything.

So does that mean that the majority of those that go to Zach’s house and socialize outside of video games make us not apart of the norm?

The SFIV cab at GW is side-to-side, so you would hear someone if they said something back.

At least with me, it takes a bit to open up to people. Personally, I don’t like random ass fools in my face being all buddy with me from jump street.

^Same here. I mean I’d mutter a reply to a GG response but that’s it. I hardly talk in general, people shouldn’t get so butthurt over it.

You know what I mean. There’s a difference between chatting with your buddies at an event, and being talkative with somebody you’ve never met before. Besides that, yes, you guys aren’t exactly your typical gamer. You guys talk about girls and clubbing and shit. Stereotypical gamers don’t know how to talk to girls. :china:

Point taken.

Maybe we should set up an initation at Zach’s where ppl have to strike a conversation with someone for like 2 min. about gasp GIRLS (or guys if that’s your P groove), before they can come in.

Hahaha that would make me feel so awkward.

On a more on-topic note, has anyone heard from lizard lick? Up to two weeks to ship is turning into closer to four weeks. I would really enjoy having a roundhouse button and moreover a stick that doesn’t suck. Might pick up one of those usb adaptors and just use my other stick and hope it doesn’t lag.

I used to live on W 21st and S Allport. Little arcade thugs are everywhere though. They are pretty hilarious but probably not when you are 7.

Any older players North of Seattle?

not north of Seattle here, but over on the eastside. Send me a FR on XBL we can play anytime you want.

North or South Everett? I live in the North. I’m down pretty much any day of the week to get some friendly competition in when I can. hit me up on XBL: jalapNo.

I don’t have an arcade stick so don’t expect me to be uber good considering I found that arcade sticks were god’s gift to fighting games.

Will do.

I have found 2 sticks around here recently. A SE and a TE. I picked them both up. I think I am in South Everett technically. I will add you up.

i wouldnt bother to go to gameworks unless you were meeting up with some good players down there because the arcade version doesnt have all the characters dude. you should try to make it to one of the sessions people post on here

Arcade version has Dictator… That’s all that matters :badboy: lol

I don’t play any console characters anyway.

Did you order a JLF from him? I guess there’s a shortage of them or something

http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=6349872&postcount=5089

but at some point you’ll have to play against console characters (if you were to go to Zach’s house or something like that).

And JLFs are the only ones I can mod my SE stick with? I’m just gonna try those usb converters.

I figure I would post this here for the sake of thread relevance and because it’s interesting to look at…

-I really wanna see videos of Shiro. He has to have some raw Abel stuff.
-For the past few BP updates I’ve seen, Bouya’s been the only Zangief I’ve seen in the top 20.
-Fugg yes at Nuki and Nemo. Two Chuns in the top 20. EAT IT HATERS!

Oh wow, so the top BP in Japan are actually good players and not punk ass disconnectors?
