To be honest I think it’s assholish to not say anything to “good game” either, it’s not that hard to say “Yeah”, “GG” or even grunt a response. And it’s true that the vast majority of SF people have very little in the way of social skills.
But I grew up in Chicago arcades where gangbangers were threatening to kick my ass over the game all the time when I was 7 years old, so you should probably not whine about not getting a butt-patt after the game, homie.
I’m surprised people expect video game nerds to have social skills. People are in it to win it, not to converse with people. Are the cabs at GW head-to-head? Maybe they couldn’t hear you say GG. I know back when I went there I couldn’t hear anyone say anything.
^Same here. I mean I’d mutter a reply to a GG response but that’s it. I hardly talk in general, people shouldn’t get so butthurt over it.
You know what I mean. There’s a difference between chatting with your buddies at an event, and being talkative with somebody you’ve never met before. Besides that, yes, you guys aren’t exactly your typical gamer. You guys talk about girls and clubbing and shit. Stereotypical gamers don’t know how to talk to girls. :china:
Maybe we should set up an initation at Zach’s where ppl have to strike a conversation with someone for like 2 min. about gasp GIRLS (or guys if that’s your P groove), before they can come in.
On a more on-topic note, has anyone heard from lizard lick? Up to two weeks to ship is turning into closer to four weeks. I would really enjoy having a roundhouse button and moreover a stick that doesn’t suck. Might pick up one of those usb adaptors and just use my other stick and hope it doesn’t lag.
North or South Everett? I live in the North. I’m down pretty much any day of the week to get some friendly competition in when I can. hit me up on XBL: jalapNo.
I don’t have an arcade stick so don’t expect me to be uber good considering I found that arcade sticks were god’s gift to fighting games.
i wouldnt bother to go to gameworks unless you were meeting up with some good players down there because the arcade version doesnt have all the characters dude. you should try to make it to one of the sessions people post on here
I figure I would post this here for the sake of thread relevance and because it’s interesting to look at…
