I got severely addicted to Voltorb Flip last night and got enough coins for a dratini. Turned out to be FEMALE! W00. Probably not going to use it on my team and gonna make hella drat-babies.
Anyone want a drat baby? Also; I found out that DS isn’t compatible with WPA/WPA2 wireless passwords, so things will most-likely have to be face-to-face for trades

I just picked up SoulSilver. First Pokemon game since the Original Silver. I did RSE and GSC battling online with friends tho. So I kinda know what I am supposed to be doing. But I really really really hate the whole EV and IV thing.

Yes you do, and yes it is an unreal amount of work to get them just how you want them. Whether or not it is mandatory is up for debate, though it can certainly be fulfilling.

I can’t catch that pokemon for the life of me. Paralyzed and at 1hp with a great ball and it broke out without shaking once.
pokemon seem harder to catch(at least with ultra balls) then they used to be, i used to just throw an ultra ball full health at anything under level 30 but now it seems like you have to work for it, but then i did just catch Lugia with a quick ball.
i think my friend code is 07002, ill check and edit it if need be in a bit. also i can breed just about any pokemon if anyone is searching for a specific trade.
I know there was a point when I went back and started trying to catch ALL the pokemon in like… the original silver and I bought like a billion ultra balls and for some reason or another I couldn’t catch anything, I think you have to use the respective ball for the respective level. I’m sure that’s not true, I’m sure you just can’t catch a pokemon without weakening it first. I left my game at my friends’ house last night. I got a show tonight that I’m playing at so there will be plenty of car time to get back into the groove. Might mob out to TW this saturday with Ghrrk to kickit with Josh and maybe ding around and play some casual sf4. Anyone else thinking about showing up?
Outside of the Master Ball, catching any Pokmon at any health or level is just luck. You can increase your chances of pulling it off with specific balls or weakening the target, but it’s also completely possible to catch a high level legendary on the first turn with a normal Pok Ball. Possible, but not likely.
I’ll bring my game to TWars tomorrow to throw down if anybody wants. Granted I haven’t touched my HeartGold game since sometime in December and never bothered to unpack the Pokwalker, but I’m pretty sure I have teams of straight 100s for any kind of ruleset.
