It’s you winning or losing multiplied by the skill factor of who you played against, more or less. It looks like beating about 6 scrubs moves you up a point(?). That’s just my educated guess, not really sure.
So I don’t get the HVB unblockable theme, I was clearly dashing during the super freeze when someone did it the other day, but i had no problem blocking… does it have to AHVB? nvm I suppose it must be ahvb.
Also playing Sabertooth, Silver, Doom online is funny, chip chip chip.
Yeah, AHVB is 1 frame start-up. It is also most common right after you jump. You should be able to block it instantly. Not the case.

Edit: holy shit with Lag beat plane is like impossible to block, megaman just teleports around the screen shooting you with missiles!
Anybody tried PS3 with MAS sticks using a Pelican adapter? This seems to completely break anything I try to do. I can’t do any specials. :wtf:
I remember there being problems with MAS sticks that had psx pcbs wired and then using DC adapters. Could be the same problem.

Unless Preppy happens to hold something on Friday, games at my place on Friday night. After pouring over the details meticulously, we determined last night that this would be the best course of action to get Pablo drunk.
No BBQ, just games. Marvel, from now till the end of time. Or until awful ports kill the player base.

I think I get off work around 7 that day, so I will be there.
Incidentally, my brother is leaving for korea on the first for two weeks, so I may have the house of scrumbles all to myself. My parents will also be gone for a week or so in september, so we can use their condo on the 30th floor of the cosmopolitan downtown as well, its smaller than my apartment though, and a bitch to park for so that’s probably not a good idea.
We should use that condo for snooty wine tastings.

8 SDtvs in this house. Have Marvel and old ass ST on DC. With luck, Brent will bring me Beasley’s cab, and Beasley will forget about it due to senility. Just redid my system with Win 7, so I no longer have SFIV on PC with the funky outfits, but I could reinstall if everyone demands it. Paul Lee and others often bring SFIV setups. I’ll have the 13" tv ready for them.
I live near Northgate, PM for directions. If you plan on attending, let me know in advance. Once people start popping in, I don’t answer my phone or check PMs. So if you wanted in and didn’t get details in time, that’s on you. Open invite to all. But I recommend that you not bring people who don’t play games. Don’t be mean and force your girl to sit through ugly, 20 year old low-res sprites. Brent, this means you!

Non-Marvel players have been getting others to ask me whether they can attend. This session is an open invite. Just PM me if you want directions, and let me know if you’re showing up. And do it soon, because I won’t be checking SRK or answering phones once games begin. Might need to dip out and buy more drinks if tons of people show up.
Non-Marvel players should be aware that while Paul will be bringing a PS3 and Blake should be bringing a 360, I don’t actually have an SFIV setup.* So if you don’t want to be bored when you first get here, bring console/sticks for yourself. Also, while I have 8 SDtvs, I have no 16:9 screens.
*I have redone my win 7 system recently, and will be redoing it again with RTM. I was only messing around with the alternate costumes, so I don’t know how the PC version measured up for competitive play anyway.
