My roommate plays this pretty much every day. He got the gold medal (or whatever it’s called) in kills before anything else. He’s a savage killer but he could definitely use some teammates who are at least coordinated.

Watch Tree Eskimo’s Livestream.
I think this is a great Livestream for most LoL players because Tree Eskimo is great at commentating his own games as he is playing them (a very rare skill). He lets you know what he is thinking and how he is assessing the games and his understanding of the game seems quite good. His commentary is quite clear and well communicated. This doesn’t make him the best player or even the best teacher of LoL, but he really is providing a superb resource. Definitely worth watching for most players–Highly Recommended!
Note: LoLBase isn’t perfect, but here are the stats that are available for TreeEskimo. At the very least, it shows he is generally a high-ELO player.
These guys would NOT SHUT UP during the match. I watched (dead at the time) three enemies roll up mid from their base, take out a wave of creeps, and start attacking one guy while he was shit-typing his own team. People were constantly bailing from the group, pinging hella bullshit all over the map, and sulking while others were trying to get shit done. We WON THE MATCH by the way, but you’d never have fucking guessed by the way these guys talked about it.

This is so true. The last 3 times I have played I’ve experienced lag to the degree that it is unplayable. No idea why, my computer and internet shuold be able to keep up and have in the past.

So I’ve been playing Amumu recently. He’s good. Or if we’re tank-heavy, then usually Ashe. Would be interesting in subbing Miss Fortune and Taric as alternate DPS/Tank characters, but don’t have those guys yet.
EDIT: Let it be known that Swain is total bullshit. Guy is ridiculous.
It’s gonna be fun trying new champions this weekend. However, if sometime this weekend you do want to play serious matches with others and you’ve at least practiced enough with your chosen character, consider this chatroom I’ve created for this weekend
Join the chatroom: “No First Timers” to create teams with other people who ARE NOT using a character they have never used before (or at the very least, they have practiced the characters they are using).
Turn the frustrations of New Champion Weekend into an opportunity
Set the room to autojoin for the weekend as well. You never know, you might also meet good teammates for the future.

Haha, yeah. I love the idea of ‘free champion’ weekend, but it has become, by extension, ‘dropper and noob’ weekend as well.
I played a match yesterday just after midnight, the other team immediately had two droppers. After a couple minutes, they were down to two. Swain player was raging so hard, and being such an asshole in chat, that I couldn’t help but goad him on a little.
At 25 minutes we were in their base, he tries to surrender, but his Teemo voted no. I lol’d.

Yeah, that game sucked, that Sion fed mad hard & I did some dumb shit with Poppy First time playing her in non practice games game I played after made up for it though. Playing Nidalee again laning with a Shen, we’re doing pretty good then 10 minutes into the game our Warwick who was feeding leaves, which is good because I’d rather have a 4v5 than a guy who feeds, and then five minutes later he comes back an dfeeds again and trash talks. We’re still doing pretty well considering but a bad few team fights later Nidalee sucks in teamf ights, only problem I have with her we only have the Inner Nexus turret left. The Shen, Moraganna, & Warwick head off to Baron & the Twitch starts backdooring so I’m left to defend against the massive number of creep & players but I somehow hold them off till they get Baron, warp back in, save my ass, & we push all the way to their base & win. Makes up for all the garbage games today.
EDIT-And just to clarify, noe of this would have been possible without our Shen Shunpo’ing like a goddamn champ & the Twitch being a beast with the ganks. Mad props to both of them.
