i only play co-op vs the AI specifically cause i don’t wanna deal with pvp drama. i like that each co-op game vs AI is stress free and fun (its literally impossible to lose, even if the other guy feeds the AI by going 0-20), and lasts about 30 min. on weekdays when i need to sleep early, i like to play one game before going to bed.
for my pvp needs, i play starcraft2, which gets no love even though i made a thread for it here. i dont play it on weekdays because i know if i even lose one game, i’ll go on tilt, and stay up until 2 am trying to prove myself.
There are definitely some good reasons to do that.
I’ve used AI as a quick way to get a daily bonus.
But the AI is pretty lame… and it seems dumb that the AI just gets to buy whatever build it’s programmed to buy regardless of how much gold it’s actually earned. And while you certainly can play with any champ you want, you don’t really need a tank or a jungler against the AI, either. It just feels a little hollow.

yeah the AI is a joke, which is why I do it. I’m finding myself more and more a casual gamer. Playing to win requires a lot of drive and dedication, that I want to use on other things. I did play Demigod a lot vs actual people (hence my name), its just too bad everyone else hated that game and it died around 2010… Personally I still like Demigod more than LOL (putting me in the .00001% minority), but its impossible to find a match these days. LOL has way more heroes, which is more fun in that sense, because I get to try out all these different dudes in casual AI games.

Just returned after 3-4 months because the game does piss you off lol. I usually play with a group of 2-5 as I rarely play solo. I pretty much only play with skype or ventrilo as I find it is extremely helpful and fast. I avoid all chat drama no matter what so if you aren’t one of the people we all hate in game PM me or add me! Some more things

Dude people keep talking about dota 2. But it’s not out, yet!
I mean… I’m not the thread police. Like, I guess if you wanna talk about dota 2 this is probably the best place for it. But I dunno how much there is to talk about, since for all we know it’ll be out in late November.
I just wonder - for all the things I hate about LOL, will DOTA actually improve on those points? It almost certainly WILL improve on handling disconnects, and IP grinding issues. And that’s good, but I don’t know if it’s my main beef.
I dunno, I never played DOTA. So maybe I just don’t know what I missed.
Patch notes!
-Eve’s stun is now a slow. Ult is nerfed, too (less heal, less attack speed)
-Fiddle gets a rebound buff.
-GP’s parrrley now applies grog-soaked blade, which is now a slow. Other small buffs.
-Heimer turrets are cheaper.
-Jarvan small nerfs.
-Nunu’s ice blast no longer godly for level 1.
-Udyr’s mana costs much cheaper at low levels. (less blue dependent?)
-Vayne nerfs
-Vlad transfusion slightly nerfed
-QSS cooldown decrease
-Gold gain is now UNIQUE for each item.
-No spell interactions with wards or shrooms. (Except ‘teleport’) so no more Kat hop to ward, etc.
HoG being unique was kind of a big nerf for jarv 
And eve is now useless, GP awesome good for once.

Are you saying that it was unnecessary? I stacked philostones like a motherFUCKER, but even at the time it seemed pretty fucking stupid.
Unnecessary? Yeah a little, Jarvan doesn’t farm THAT well early game, so usually stack like 3 of them shits. Now, idk what to build just yet.
It’s not just a Jarvan nerf. It’s a nerf to the strategy of stacking gold/time items. Maybe not even enough of one, in my opinion, because Jarvan can still get HoG and Philostone.
And I don’t think that we should be giving characters a way to get around farming. If you can just sit at your turret and get as much gold as somebody who’s actually working at it, why bother? When characters don’t have to mix it up a little to secure their advantage, the game is incredibly dull.
We just had a 5v5 event at GameClucks last weekend and got 11 teams.
Next one is July 30th.
