Roll Cancel. By Buktooth.

Anybody good with Bison?

on A-Groove…

I’m not good, but I’m sure that if i spent a week with him, I could have a decent A bison. I played against him a lot…what are your questions?

Why is he so f****** evil?

PTF! Nigga!

The CC is fucking deadly. He turtles his ass off and reaps from the benefits of being a turtle. With things like RC Psycho Crusher, he can get out of a lot of pressure strings that people can try on him…and if thats’ not safe enough for you, RC demon reversal will start getting you out of situations.

RC scissors are fucking bitchy when used playing footsies/over prioritizing shit. Make sure to distance yourself and know when you can get only ONE hit on those scissors. It’s fairly safe on block if you can distance yourself on block…otherwise good players will murder you if you don’t distance yourself.

Bison is to good.

Conclusion: Pick A groove if you want to win.

While that’s true, keep in mind that a C Groove player (Ohayo) won Evo West. I think with the grooves it’s like anything else in games really, if you dedicate yourself to a single groove you’ll be good with it. A Groove is the best though. I think it goes…

A Groove
C Groove
K Groove/N Groove/P Groove
S Groove

In that order imo.

The question was kind of a joke

But yeah, his CC and zoning are too good. Between him and Blanka… shudders

Showin some love for CvS2.
Since you guys we’ll be having tourneys for it soon. (LOL Mandel is probably going to feel like he is in psuedo-hell for awhile.)
So…
bump.

I’m a C-Groove player now cause a lot of people I play with (DREW LFGDLFHGLDH) use rush down grooves like N, P and K. So alpha counters help A LOT.

I usually use Vega/Sagat/Blanka R2 or Ken/Sagat/Blanka R2 (Big changes huh lol)
But I still hop on the A-Groove train every now and again with A-Vega/Sakura/Blanka.
Or when I feel like being BROKEN AS FUUUUCCKKK I use A-Dhalsim/Benimaru/Boxer.

KENNY KNOWS! SPIT THA TROOF NIGGA!

Cause I really rush everyone down with P Groove, LOL.

:arazz: IT’S POSSIBLE!! STFU GIMMICK!

CvS2 sounds fun. Sign me up.

This should be a useful link. This is Desora’s (Japanese K-Groove Raiden/Blanka/Sagat player) website. It features a 10 game win/loss diagram.

http://fantasticandfriends.net/cvs2/tierchart/index.htm

Seems good to me, I can agree with a lot of those numbers.

SUPER NEGRO EDIT-Um nm on that one, K Raiden beating K Cammy 7 out of 10 times? Wow.

What’s with the Japanese and their charts?

I’m not complaining, they’re very useful, but damn that must take a long time to compile

It’s an Asian thing. Confucianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and numerous other eastern philosophy/theologies are rife with list making. It’s what bored monks do with their time in the mountains. A large part of scholastic work involved with those schools of thought feature memorizing numerous lists and charts of the matter in the universe, properties of the human soul, paths to enlightenment, etc.

Being Asian, I should also mention that the character pictures in that chart are really cute.

I disagree. It’s what inspired the horrible Neo Geo Pocket fighters.

God, the “ethics” of the man himself Sam fat bear Yak…whatever it was

Oh, and to P groove being a rush down groove

CvS2 is a pretty simple game. Just learn your character’s good moves and try to learn some specific strategies for the high tier match ups. Don’t jump too much. Punish people for trying to mash their way out of tick throws. Practice all this and you’ll already be a pro.

Wish me luck at Evo in CvS2!

So I registered for a good amount of games to play in at evo, CVS2 being one of them. That being said, I load my my copy of the game for some practice. Then I realize that this game sucks balls and I hate how it “feels” when I am trying to play for real. I know the game is tourney worthy, but it also dawned upon me that this is the one game I never played at a higher level. I missed the boat on this game while it was at Lanwerx, so I never got to fight people at the top of their game in cvs2.

I know a decent amount of the grooves and their advantages, but for simplicity’s sake I may stick to C groove, because I can’t do CCs for shit. K groove does appeal to me.

I would like opinions on making a team. I saw that tier list provided by M.Dizzle, so it helped a lot. Here are the characters I like playing that don’t suck that much, well some of them do suck but that is ok with me.

Sagat
Guile (Gwee-lee)
Dictator
Blanka (I don’t like him much, but I know the basics and he is a beast)
Akuma
Ken
Zangief
Raiden
Rugal
Haohmaru

Any input well help me out a great deal. Keep in mind that these are characters I am familiar with, and would rather stick with them than try to learn someone like A groove Sakura. I just don’t think I will have that much time to practice such characters. I know a good friend that went to UCLA and played with some of the best down in Cali, so I will definately get some training in with him.

Muchas Gracias.
