True, true.
The only easy (and fun) part of P-Groove is getting to play with Cammy. Too, too good.
True, true.
The only easy (and fun) part of P-Groove is getting to play with Cammy. Too, too good.
I was watching some casuals and I saw a couple P groove Cammy playersā¦
Very amazed actually.
Yeah, P groove is good, but you really have to dedicate a LOT of time into it.
You have to read your opponentsā very quickly. You have to figure out WHAT to parry (P groove isnāt just about parrying random bullshit, itās about getting a GOOD parry in, and making use of it).
P groove isnāt a groove that a rookie cvs2 player could pick up. It takes a lot of thought and analyzation to become a truly skilled p grooverā¦and in most cases, this isnāt your typical fighting gamer.
My team is
P. Kyo, Sagat, CAmmy2
Kyo is an incredible player in P groove. My mixup game with him was pretty good. I remember playing Chris (redbull) a little rescently and though I did get beat, Inside i wonā¦I remember throwing him like 6 times or somethingā¦āIām getting thrown like a bitch!ā It was funny. Kyoās all about gaining the meter, and throwing in a couple parries to get off some of his awesome combos to set him up for some amazing mixup games. One combo should lead to another or possibly a throwā¦which should lead into another.
Sagat is just a fucking tank. Kyo would build meter for Sagatā¦and sagat would get in a parry into c.mk or c/s.hp into super. Sagat was all about the footsies and using the meter.
Cammy was the fucking leader of the team. CAmmyās play style goes so well with P groove. Sheās all about staying patient and distancing her opponent. When youāve got some momentum, go for the throwā¦her hk throw sets her up to dash over about 3 times or so, letting her be at this āAmbigiousā crossup/corps hop where you could land a c.lkx3, super. Itās really easy to distance your opponent with that s.hk. If you play P cammy, you MUST make sure your footsie game is up to par. Make sure that you can fake your opponent out to whiff a laggy regular, and hit them with your s.hk on reaction. And if that doesnāt work, start Option parrying (I assume you know what option parrying is) into s.hkā¦if you see the parry, your reactions should be good enough to hit the super right after the s.hkā¦Sheās a great asset to any p groove team since those s.hkās will gain her lots of meter, and also distance her opponent, letting your opponent know āTHis bitch aint gonna get messed withā¦ā Once you have that full meter, go for the gold, and take the cup.
So yeahā¦thats my Cvs2 rundown for the night. Hope ya enjoyed it.

Yes. I did! I can see what your talking about P is some shit.
lol! thanks for takin your time with this P groove shit with me. Needed to learn something today! lol!
With all that said, āIm sticking with A groove I guessā
Mickey, your posts in this thread put a smile on my face. I never thought Iād see the day when you were like āFuck CvS2!ā hahah. Good to see you posting.
If you donāt feel like learning rc (like me) then you can play K/P. I play K nearly exclusively now because if I play C/A/N then I have to rc. Kinda gross I think. Besides K is fun as hell anyway. K is good at lower levels because you donāt have to work for damage at all. Try to jd whatever you can, do some damage, take some hits yourself, and return the favor AND more with rage and buff ass supers. You can play anybody in K if you wanted to as long as you can jd hahah. K Cammy/Blanka/Sagat is pretty monstrous. I pick that team whenever Iām super lazy, or whenever I donāt mind Blankaās ugliness. K Geese/Cammy/Sagat is supposed to be the best K Groove team I heard. OTKās team of K Kyo/Rock/Hibiki is pretty dope. I remember seeing Viscant use K Chang/Yamazaki/Hibiki. A lot of variety with that groove imo.
I tried P out for a quick minute. I didnāt really like it too much. P Groove takes hella dedication, you canāt flirt with other grooves. That has to be the shit youāre picking every single time you step up to play. It probably didnāt really help that when I was trying out P, I played against a couple A players. That changed my mind real quick.

Ahh, no problem dude. Back in the day, I was MAD into this gameā¦studied it to no end. You ask a question, I probably wonāt give a 100% correct answer, but Iāll give ya my 2 cents.
hahahaā¦Yeah, that one was kinda to insinuate/exaggerate that this game is way to analytical/broken.
And thanks for the welcome back man
Yeah! Im kinda stuck at CvS2 or 3s.

This match was so gay it made me laugh.
Itās matches like that, especially Honda vs. Blanka, that give the game a bad rep with some people. Fuck Japanese CvS2, seriously.
EDIT: This Mieharu match is pretty dope though just because itās against Rai and his beastly K-Hibiki. She died to an RC tigershot though.

Mandelā¦your right, that match was gay as hell. But there is a lot of thought put into the fight. I know you see it tooā¦but your right, the analytical thought process makes this game so ridiculous that you might as well throw rocks at the TV (probably much more fun then Cvs2 actuallyā¦)
But seriously, it was a pretty good match, except for the Blanka/Honda match.

That link is a good tool for team formation. Iām actually posting in this thread too much. Time to fall back.
is there cvs2 cab in seattle?
whereās tau in this thread?
thereās a cab out here in puyallupā¦ but thats about it.
Gametown has a showcase cab in pretty good shape, but no one goes to that place
they have ST too! and rainbow CE!
(they might not actually have this stuff anymore, I havenāt been there in a while)
he is in japan on this thread searching for cvs2 and over all enjoying summer time i think >.> he IS in japan right now though ^^
K-Grove - Haomaru, Ryo, Mai
I used to visit JustDefend.com quite a bit to watch matches of online play. It was pretty intense.
K Mai will fuck you up and run away like thereās no tomorrow.
Justdefend.com wasnāt to much of a good site for āqualityā matches. It was cool and all, but those videos are prime examples of how midātier players play.
Butā¦I donāt like that teamā¦But whats good is that you donāt fall into the modern tier rankings. Props for that, but still, that team looks ugly dudeā¦Mai ratio 2? Damnā¦sorry man, ugly shit.
Funny how I somehow got limited computer access here.
Anyway, I have been doing well at CvS2 versus Shou and Shimage (BAS/d44), however, they are still better. shous sakura is very powerful, as is shimages dictator, but for all the pdx players, dont be discouraged because i think all the players in pdx have a good chance if we assume shimage is the best in the world. i also met gunter and ichi, both are better than me but not as much as shou. I have only CvS2 a little because I am not currently in Tokyo, but the reason im online now is cause im looking for acho. i have no clue where it is or anyone there, but before i leave kansai i would like to visit that arcade.
i dont know if ill be able to post again, so if not ill see you at evo hella jet lagged.
