Yeah I hate playing anchor Doom as much as the next guy because he’s just not that good, but his utility value to the team is just tremendous. It definitely makes up for his being a mediocre anchor (and basically a free win for Hawkeye).
What’s you guys opinion?
Skrull(Point)/Strange(Assist)/Magneto(assist)
The idea is that I didn’t want Strange to be left without no assist to help him out, And I wanted a solid anchor instead of Skrull(Skrull is a good anchor, but he is risky). Can Strange+ the second fastest projectile assist in the game work?
If not I guess I have to pick Dante or something…
I love Doom since MvC2, used him in vanilla MvC3, so I have no problem at all at using him.
But what Mazio said is true, he’s a free-win for Hawkeye, except for a YOLO footdive.
Therefore, its a great thing to snap Hawk in if you are facing him, or switch your orders.
Strange can fight him on an anchor-battle. Doom cannot.
Strange/Disruptor is good, yeah. A fullscreen beam poke helps him set up projectiles and he can go for some fast mixups from time to time. Off a teleport crossup with Disruptor assist and midscreen FoF loop I can get up to 1 million for a bar. SoV to Shockwave DHC is not that damaging though, so I’d look into combo extensions with Skrull assist to make sure you get up to 1.1m or something.
Or you can say ‘fuck top tier and winning characters’ like me and pick Iron-Man. You will ToD from any confirm out of the assist and mixups, you will have a godlike DHC, and you will be able to FOF-Loop even after a THC.
Only thing is, you will probably never win again, or you will win having to put twice the time in training, learning, thinking, and most of all, executing

he’s not a strong anchor. He can deal with good odds against some of the strong anchors…

I didn’t do so good due to rustiness and nervousness (and hi I’m nasty is godlike)
But I did pretty good against other players that were there
What I learned is that Dante does have to be replaced jam session barely does anything for Skrull, and is feeling pretty useless with Strange as well, even though Dante served as a good anchor I felt as if he was getting learned and against keepaway he just can’t do it alone.
Good Notes :
Ring of Raggador is very underrated I kept catching people especially good against people who like to THC with ammy in the back
My team flowed very well when opponent is afraid and turtling
Some people seemed confused on how to deal with Raw Flames of the Faltine
Opponent is usually scared to press buttons against incoming Strange and I was hitting people ALOT with Impact Palm it’s so good to catch people off guard
Did good against keepaway teams because skrull plus strange with ring of ragador
Other stuff but Ill write later but I know none of this information is new but maybe we can discuss on how to maximize these tricks and tech with Strange.
Not to be rude or anything, but we told you that Jam Session would be bad 
Yeah I know:/ I just like to stay away from overused assists I like being original part of why I picked up Strange in the first place
But I see that Strange needs a good GTFO assist, I wish Ironfist was a better character because I love Rising Fang and they have decent synergy.
Rocket Racoon can serve the same person but isnt the best anchor either
If I dont go with a get off assist them I’ll definitely try Vajra because my team flows very well while my opponent is scared so strider can help to keep them grounded, I also found that after a super with strider(animal zoo) you can DHC into ring of ragador and dash up s.H or impact palm (idont remember found this out a while ago) and go into flame loops but might depend on where you are on the screen must investigate more
Also feel that Drones with strange can be very very powerful but the thought of playing the plastic robot makes me cringe:/ but I’ll give it a try
Strange does not “need” a gtfo assist, cr.M is good enough as a gtfo move. What he needs is a lockdown/zoning assist that gives him momentum for setting his neutral game and mixups.
dont know about Dante, i think in the hands of a very high execution player Strange/Jam Session could put some work, nobody can go wrong with that assist. The only anchors i recommend for Strange are Amaterasu and Vergil though.
Doom is hella good to Strange, but not as good as an anchor like those.
If you want to be original, you should find a team that works with Strange and Lei-Lei. Her supers can set flame-loops, her assist is godlike and she can mixup people with bolts very efficiently.
Taskmaster and Hawkeye would work as well.
Yeah Strange is great with arrows and Hawkeye with bolts can get confirms pretty easily but the only reason I’ve drifted away from arrows is because I already use bolts as a horizontal assist but since strange is second it would make since to have two horizontal assists
Idk I really want to try drones because of synergy with skrull and it would be great for Strange neutral game
I wish my Xbox wasn’t broken I would grind it in the lab so hard I can’t even test any new anchors:(
Anyone got experience with point Strider? How would Strider/Strange/Ammy sound? I got some ideas from the tier thread about running a point Strider team for fun and I was recommended Strider/Magneto/Ammy. Kind of considering Strange instead of Magneto to fulfill the beam assist role. Thoughts?
I like the sound of it. I’ve dabbled with Strider/Strange before and it’s decent. Strider’s teleport goes well with the beam. Only thing I have to say is his damage is low and even if you were going to DHC into Strange, that might not kill. So of course you’ll have to do a lot of resets and mixups. You’ll need at least one assist to help with Strider combos. One thing you could do, and Chou used to do this with his old team, is to constantly end Strider combos into a snapback and just do incoming mixups all day. Ammy assist should be able to help you with some nasty stuff.
