So.
@XthAtGAm3RGuYX postedthis in the USFIV general topic…
I’ve had others literally jump through my KBG as well (crossover?). We have no hitbox display (Thanks Obamafiend), but I think it’s safe to say that KBG has a poor (or at the least unintuitive) hitbox.
I think its use may be limited to last-second anti-air after chucking plasma (using preferably the LK version for the trade into WoL).
How about you guys?
I would think about using it in footsies, but not only is that really risky, MK KBG doesn’t reach enough to punish a lot of moves, so it seems like suicide to use against people sticking out pokes…
Poison seems to have a really hard time with crossups. I don’t think there’s one completely reliable way to deal with them.
Autocorrect EX KBG has to be done late (because of the poor hitbox, as shown above!), and it’s very nervewracking to use because of the timing.
I think, for standing crossups at least, all you should do is just forward dash. It seems to lower her hurtbox just a little, so I think it should still work if you do it a little late. (Too late and you might end up forward dashing the other way, though…?)
Depends on their jump it seems. You wanna do it early enough to remove yourself from the situation before they get there.
It may be beneficial to input it as f, f (i.e. hold the second forward input) so that you’re still blocking if you mess up.
You could also try walking forward. You have a few options, like cl. HK, cr. MP, cr. MK…

For meaty crossups I think you may just be SOL. Who knows.
I’m not so sure about focus dashing to escape a crossup. Poison’s focus attack moves her just a tad backwards, so it can make it ambiguous for you to see which side is the backdash side.
Then you end up forward dashing right into their combo. Ooops…
