We, As a community, should make a video

In my honest opinion I think the anniversary tournament is keeping the game alive so Capcom can have more time to fix some of the problems in the game. To me I think ABC combos should have more scaling because getting 250-300 damage off a jab, plus getting a free tag seems way to good.

But even with minor flaws we as a community should support as much as we can by supporting it at tournaments, keeping the online community strong, and making all the haters see that this game isn’t about time outs and simple button mashing but about strong footsies and correct team synergy. I rarely have time outs any more once I figured out that Rufus/Law can deal over 800 damage with one reset and one bar of meter.

Let the haters hate and the trolls troll because all we can do is support what we enjoy.

Why do so many people come into the SFXT forums to troll on it? If you don’t care about the game, how did you see this thread or feel the need to post?

GTFO.

Because most know we will respond no matter the size of the troll or “constructive criticism” as most like to put it. Best just to start letting shit roll off our backs and keep moving.

Yeeeup. Pretty much.

Haha just report the posts.

Maybe SRK needs ISP email registrations now.

lol look how hard y’all have to try. when will y’all realize that nobody really like this game? no video, will change the CORE issues of this game. you know, the shitty system mechanics? if you want SF X TK to get back in the limelight, best bet is to wait for the overhaul/super version.

Are we not supposed to try? I’m not saying the community vid is a good or bad idea. But it’s an idea. It could help others that do enjoy the game play better, and hey, might even get more folks to show up for more sfxt tourneys.

If anything SFxT players were accused of not trying hard enough to support their game. So pardon us as we now try harder.

Or what we could do is support what we have in front of us so that there will be a better chance we get an updated version.

Oh btw I think it’s obvious that people actually enjoy this game, if you haven’t noticed.

I think it might be more important to create tutorial/combo vids. For new characters that I pick up, there isn’t much beginner friendly stuff going on. There’s usually one or two combo vids that often don’t have any inputs. Videos that give you any idea of how a character is best played, or the utility/priority of certain moves are kind of rare atm. A lot of combo videos are damage whoring and impractical too :P.

I don’t have any recording software or anything like that but I’ll run sets with anyone if they want, i play pure rushdown and not to brag but my matches are pretty exciting to watch, and i don’t understand why people hate the game so much when people forget about the whole street fighter 4>super street fighter 4/ Marvel vs Capcom 3> Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 bullshit

Jwong actually LIKES sfxt because theres no comeback mechanic and he feels in CONTROL of the game, which he cant say about other fighters out nowadays

No money->no Justin.

Here’s what I think, and it agrees with alot of people have said already; we don’t NEED to try and convince anyone to like the game at this point. If someone’s gonna like it they will of their own devices, why care what haters think or try to win them over? It’s good to introduce new people to the game but struggling to make the game look good to those who hate it is just the equivalent to saying ‘I like this game and so should you’ and isn’t that the bad mindset that starts stuff like ‘When’s Mahvel’? Point is, things should be done to support the SFxT community itself. It indeed sucks that people treat it the way they do, but it’s damn near impossible to prevent people from being pricks about stuff. If people will like the game it’s cause they see good in it, I mean the majority of us current fans got into it for reasons other people hate it, so showing the deeper side of it to people who don’t care is pearls before swine. I say all this simply cause I’m tired of trying to speak common sense and share my opinion of this game to people who won’t have any of it, and it’s fair enough. We as a community should support our game in spite of the hate. Cause if you ask me just by talking about this game and still playing it we’re disproving the major exaggerated hyperbole of ‘no one likes this game’ and for me that’s victory enough =]

If I had some recording equipment, I’d give some of my matches both single and playing with my partner. We’ve had matches where everything is going fine and then BAM! One mistake lead to a loss.

That feeling? I know it so well. One of the things I surprisingly enjoy about the game on both sides of the coin: one mistake and you can lose, easily. Even if there’s like 8 seconds left and you think you have the life lead, get touched once by someone who can get good, optimized damage and congrats, you are now the proud owner of a metric ton of salt.
