From what I understand Weasel Shot is better in every way except for the amount of time the opponent is locked down.

Well i guess thats why i have tatsu, the tatsu will mostly be the assist used for lockdown for mixups etc, WS will be used more as a way to get in with raccon

Ugh. I played Zakca in a long set yesterday at TRB. His Raccoon is so much better than mine and it makes me sad. Raccoon / Ammy really is one of the best combinations.

Do you play team Kusoru? I forget lol.

I used to, but Frank is a liability to me. I played Jill / RR / Strider.

Hey guys. I currently run Trish/Nova/Doom, and I am working on adding RR to the team. Which seems like a better team: Trish(peekaboo)/RR(log)/Doom(missiles) or Nova(Cent Arts)/RR(Log)/Doom(beam)?

RR def. gets a lot more from Beam but Trish gets more from Missiles. Both can use the other options with some success, though. Both really like WS and CS, though, if either of those interest you.

For Trish / RR Doom you can also consider Spitfire Twice.

Weasel Shot and Cold Star. Both of them really like the long range hori + lockdown. It lets Trish use her IOH a lot more and gives RR practically free resets.

Dante gives you an option to spend all the meter on Round Harvest hard tag > Dante extension > Round harvest > repeat.

You might want to run Spitfire if you’re using Ammy or Dante since they get a ton of use from it in neutral, but you can do some nice stuff with Mad Hopper > Ammy Slow and I assume Dante if you haven’t used your bounces yet.

Log Trap and Weasel Shot, or Spitfire and Jam Session ?

I’ve made mention awhile back I like Cap/RR and thinking about picking it up again as a fun team. I’ve never been good with RR on point but I like log. The only issue as far as team is finding the magical 3rd. With Cap I REALLY like to have safe CS H, and the only 3 assists that can do that without delays (missiles/drones) are Task (h arrow), vergil (RS), Dante (weasel).

Given these 3 what would the best team be? Cap(ss)/vergil(rs)/RR(log), Cap(cs)/Task(h)/RR(log), Cap(ss/cs)/RR(log)/Dante(weasel)? I know these all front load CAp, but I’m not sure about RR’s needs in neutral game which is my issue.

I’d say Weasel Shot is best.

Not sure between Arrows and Rapid Slash. Arrows are better in the neutral, but RS is way better for burrow oki.

Vergil anchor. Possibly Task anchor.

Have you considered Spitfire?

I’ve been testing Cap/vergil/RR and it’s REALLY good. I’m still not great with RR on point and as anchor I have concerns, but so far the front load is insane. Both Cap and Vergil are huge problems with massively long pressure strings and flow charts. The set ups and confirms are also great, it seems every hit is a potential TOD.

I’m pretty married to Cap/vergil(2nd). The synergy is amazing. Half the game plan is simply blocked hyper CS > devil trigger, s.:h:+:a1:, teleport, more mix ups, long pressure string on block.

Spitfire is no doubt good, but log solves a lot of problems that I can’t find else where.

I tried this team before but now with matured tech it feels much stronger than I remembered.

Cap / RR / Task is a good team too. The only problem is that you’re playing a really honest game. Task up arrows will solve a lot of problems with this team.

I dunno. Task H arrows would be my goto. Only 3 assists allow Cap to safely spam CS H and that’s one of them. As well RR is covering most of air with pendulum. As for honest…Cap/RR is pretty dirty. You can convert many CS + log hits if they’re hit higher or by a normal first, spf+:atk:+log confirms and is safe, You can cancel all hypers into mine and get a free unblockable setup or SS mixup, log + roll is always good, and there’s a full screen THC set up on block and full combo confirm on hit. RR is one of Cap’s best assists. Task while a good assist is fairly honest. But since I can lead with log I like having vergil. Cap vergil is stupidly dirty I’ve learned. If you block hyper CS I go Devil, s.:h:+:a1:, teleport and get a huge chain of mix ups. It’s not uncommon to completely get shut down by that pressure set up since RT is constantly being reprimed to refresh the long assists.

Task is a better assist for RR neutral game but im finding merits with rapid slash. It’s really good for keep away and calling with spitfires. I’m sure I’ll find free unblockables too. I’ll keep Task in mind as he is my anti-zero pick.

I’ve been running thor/RR/skrull for quite some time now and having decent success. It’s a very good team for Thor, and I have learned good techniques for big damage with Stone Smite OTG sutff and resets with both Thor and RR. But, in this game it will be inevitable, nearly every game, that your point will die, and I know that I can get more mileage off Tenderizer assist for RR. His combos carry to the corner quite often and you can get off a lot of traps with tenderizer holding them in the air. Anyone here run this assist with RR? I know masterdoomman does…haven’t seen his stuff in a while.
