west does play on pad, I played him in North Carolina a few weeks ago. I always heard he did, but it didn’t really process until I saw him in person lol
and on those Dae videos, yo don’t let him walk at you like that! Use more low forwards if he’s walking forward, but don’t spam it or else he can sweep it with dae-like reactions. low forward is a good alternative to sweep because if someone jumps over it you still have time to cr.fp or even uppercut on chun. You gotta stop his advances, because from what it looks like he has no fear of just holding forward

Cant Akuma hit his shaku when an opponent is juggling after an anti-air lp shoryu? Im almost sure he cant, just wanted to confirm it after watching similar situations in your videos.
He can hit shaku after a shoryuken trade that sends your opponent VERY high up, but even then, it’s still pretty hard to do. You can juggle with one hit of the normal EX fireball as well, but the damage is so negligible that it’s not really worth the meter.
yeah thats my main problem with the higher-level competition. I am trying to learn how to stifle the offense of the other player so i can focus on mixing-up. but i can’t give him an incentive to back the F off. I think i just need to lvl up.

Not trying to sound like a Japanese fanboy, but if you study how these two play and really put time in into the gym(training mode) learning some of the things they do while implimenting your own style there is no way you can’t at least have a decent Akuma.
I wish there was a video of Tokido taking on a good Ryu, though. I’d love to see his approach to that fight.

well yeah… but how he managed to put in PP<-LK+FP within 3-4 frames repetitively, by mashing is beyond me. That’s part of the reason I hate akuma mirror. West should’ve perfected him and one mashed demon + empty jump super and the match swings back in the other direction. Talk about skill.

It’s not all that hard in this game actually. You can hit all those inputs together and still get a demon.
Mash demon is pretty easy, just hit LK+LP+MP+HP while moving the joystick between down/back, back, and up/back repeatedly. This is also how I do wake-up demons.
