We already defeated Sheng-long! The Akuma Video Thread

didnt some1 say “negative edge” at the end of that vid?

damn ed_ma lost all the matches!

Not all of them, Ed Ma put on quite a show that day, I think he was just out footsied towards the end there.

Ugh, I hate it when the camera’s refresh rate co-insides with the screen’s refresh rate.

found this in the sfiv video thread. sick akuma (momochi) in the 1st, 3rd and 4th vid.

good stuff here.

valle tried to pull out a negative edge ultra after he caught ed ma with a focus attack and dashed forward…for the most part Valle seemed to just do the ultra after hitting someone with a focus attack

Edma had a nice trick for valle when he did jump foward EX hurricane (above valle) landed then did raging demon and it worked…TWICE

craziness

pretty good akuma.

He’s got the combos down, but I think his fundamentals need a little work. I thought the Sagat has a few opportunities he miserably failed to take advantage of.

That Akuma’s fundamentals are fine.

i agree with this. good Akuma none the less.

here’s some more.

Not quite sure about that. I mean they weren’t terrible, but watching him I got a sense that against a slightly better Sagat he wouldn’t have won. That Sagat was a little too timid IMO. I’ll get into more detail when I get back later tonight or tomorrow.

The guy doesn’t usually play Sagat, he plays gouken.

I think you’re more arguing against Sagat than Akuma personally, the Akuma did what was necessary to win, looked pretty damn solid to me.

Oh for sure that Akuma was no scrub and had impeccable timing, but there is still something that just irks me about his play. Though if I have a hard time pinning it down that means he is a damn good Akuma.

It is almost like that “it” factor that players have. Daigo is flat out amazing just because of how he locks in and goes clutch. I just don’t get that sense about this player.

I could just be hallucinating, but that is just my opinion that there was still something missing.

You going over board, that akuma player is solid.

I could very well be, but still at high levels of comp you would be shocked how much the “it” factor makes a difference.

It’s just a casual game between two players.

Yes this video is, but if you spent that much time becoming good with Akuma you would try to take that to a tournament no? Like I said before, I am not saying he sucks or is terrible. He is still an above average Akuma that could beat a lot of the players on this board. I just don’t think I would throw money on him in a big tourny.
