Holy shit that’s some nice production, I can only assume the commentary is good… it’s definitely got that Spanish enthusiasm.
Moments like the one at 21:00 are always interesting to me, you can see he didn’t let rip on the demon the first time for whatever reason but did on the second one despite most likely knowing it doesn’t work on chun’s backdash because it’s too fast simply because it was now in his head that he should have done it, and now wants to do it more than ever. I regularly have to check myself for doing the same stuff.

just tried the same combo after watching the vid. pretty hard combo but extra 20ish dmg than normal bnb.
am i sensing another patch with updates increase dp dmg and tatsu dmg? especially at the startup.
s.hk -2 makes another gameplay because of it…maybe really akuma will still be strong in ae2k12…maybeee…
More likely they’ll nerf those even more, because an average damage ouput is insane for a character with teleports and armor breaking palms.
On a more serious note, that combo is from max range, that’s what’s good about it. You generally can only cancel into HK Tatsu from that distance, so the damage should be a little higher than a meterless Tatsu > fierce DP combo.
Not that we’ll see it that much in actual matches, 1f link + ultra strinct cancel, even Daigo missed that a lot of times.

Just watched the vs. Honda matches. Good stuff. Funny how not even Honda is afraid of fireballs now unless you’re Ryu or Sagat. I remember the days when neutral-jumping was actually a difficult skill to learn. sigh
Actually, neutral jumping gives Honda all kinds of trouble. After watching that vid, I started doing the same whenever I meet a Honda online. So far I’m 4-0… I even came back from 1 health to beat a Honda with over 50% health!!
Oh. Sorry, I was speaking about Honda neutral-jumping so easily over fireballs. Good stuff regardless, glad you’ve improved at the Honda match. I have a ways to go myself.

It is, but if Cody has three bars you have the same problem as EX Messiah where Cody players will throw it out without fear. If he connects it can be a free ultra if he has U1 and even without it that can still hurt.
This is more for those situations where Cody players are going to throw it out because they know it is safe if it hits or not. If makes it so if they attempt to go for it they eat an unreduced U2.
The nice thing is that c.MP recovers faster than Zonk starts up so if they are activated at roughly the same time the OS always wins out.

Not exactly related, but I think there’s no point in Cody using U1 against Akuma.
U2 punishes sweeps (and if Akuma has U2 you not gonna poke with that anymore, it’s up to 506 damage) and gets around fireballs. You can even combo it if it ends you the round, it adds ~130 damage, and comboes easily after lots of stuff.

EDIT: so I tried this out myself and the Ultra always comes out… Is there a special trick to it? I’m pretty sure I’m finishing the inputs before the MP recovers…?
