I try my best to upload matches right after I record them, and that’s usually when it was JUST uploaded to the replay list. Lol, I have no life sometimes. :-/ (It makes for a good SSF4 channel though. lol)
And, Tokido is the Setup/Option Select King!
some sort of unblockable probably, very very strict with timing tho…something like the one vs guile
The dash cr mk just gives him the right timing for his ambiguous pressure.
It’s either:
jump lk (back block) low attack (back block but looks like you will drop on the back causing block confusion)
jump mk (front block because it is a crossup) low attack (front block)
jump hk (back block but looks like a crossup) low attack (front block because he lands on the back but is an opposite block of the jump attack causing block confusion)
However both the jump hk and lk can be thrown to land opposite of the setups mentioned. And he has an OS demon flip attached to all of these.
Thanks for the clarification ShinAkuma204. I knew intuitively that there were many options to attack in the corner but it was very informative to have it broken down.
A lot of his opponents are afraid of a potential unblockable (or just corner pressure) so they special or dash out of there, getting eaten by the OS.
Would it have been possible to catch a EX chicken wing with an OS Ultra? Not sure but would be good to know.
Also it seems like he double-plinks sweeps after LK tatsu. He also seems to double-plink the s.hk in certain situations (and actually hit back+s.hk [perhaps to adjust spacing to allow the cs.hp to hit?] instead of forward+s.hk which I always instinctively hit)
Would be curious if there were other OSes that I didn’t catch though besides the one applied on that corner. It’s awesome to have the inputs for matches so a big thanks to 0ShinAkuma0 for the continued diligent uploads! Going to check out some of the other matches on the channel now.
OS demon will catch ex chicken wing but you need to be deep. Too late and Fei can probably jump out.
this is so true… i know a good amount of akuma set ups and i can do all of his combos …but my footsies , reactions and frame traps are horrible… thats why i lose almost every match… no matter what flashy combo im able to do a solid player with good footsies will destroy me

Perfect Legend played the first two matches pretty well, but lost his way against PR Balrog.
Yeah, was pretty impressed with how Perfect Legend played. Saw some MK9 videos where he was playing Tom Brady as well. Then was pleasantly surprised to see that he was playing in the PowerUp SSF4 Top 8 and with Akuma to boot.
Seems like he plays with a controller? I don’t think Akuma’s combos are that difficult but it seems like not being able to plink can be a big disadvantage. (Anything involving / after s.hk, cl.fierce -> hado FADC cl.fierce, etc.)
I’m not a pad user, but plinking heavy attacks and Akuma’s kara throw is very easily done on a PS3 pad. Plinking medium attacks is a bitch though, so is OS tech/cr.mp.

There are already two matches up right now, one vs myself. (I get destroyed badly in that one, I don’t feel too bad, he destroyed everyone like that at least a few times, I just hope he uploads my two measly wins vs Tokido too! lol)
The matches that are up right now are basically just Tokido bullying people, but the matches will get better once he faces Kensou and Four Wude.

Damn, that Shannon dude is terrible…and don’t even get me started on the guy playing blanka lol. Tokido was trolling him so hard.
Still got my subscription, watching tokido play with people like a cat plays with his food is always funny =)
Yeah, but to be fair, this is Tokido after all, and the intimidation factor is great. One example is, Four Wude, best Akuma in Texas imo, got beat pretty badly a lot of matches as well, but he still did pretty good overall, winning his share of matches, but had you just seen the ones where he got raped, then it wouldn’t have been a fair representation of his skill, and it would have been easy to call him a terrible player, even though, that’s definitely not the case.
I did pretty decent against him, I know I got utterly destroyed a few matches, but overall, I did great blocking his vortex pretty decently, I won 2 games out of around 30.
Careful you might turn into a bad Gootecks/Mike Ross commercial.
