That’s why I keep saying Faye was really stupid to volunteer herself for Mario Kart. If it’s 1v1, if the other guy manages to stay on the track long enough, the items will keep him in the match regardless of skill differential. If it’s a four player race, and three guys suck, yeah, the good player will win most of the time, because while the good player zips ahead the bad ones will beat each other up with the items. But only two players? The one in first will get very few good items and the lagger will keep getting great ones.
I’d say Sebastian was lucky to have MKW in the Elimination round as opposed to another Nintendo game like Brawl, but since he got knocked out the next week it didn’t matter much in the long run.

Please, the only people who say items brawl makes it random are people who never learned to play with them in the first place, aka the entire smashboards community, and all the melee scrubs too afraid to try anything new and started them all off by default. Also, it seems like AJ and Rachael have had accounts for quite awhile, but Caesar only opened his shortly before the show even started. This was actually at around the same time the show would have finished filming the gauntlet and been to their final 2. Seems very likely there will be a Caesar/JWong final. Honestly I’d be really suprised if Justin manages to make it through the gauntlet, he always manages to be at the bottom of the pack in the isolation challenges. Of course since those isolation challenges are always versus the computer and bullshit, and not representative of actual head to head gaming, none of his top level mind games comes into play so maybe he does have a shot.

I’m pretty sure one of the Korean kids I know can easily learn all of the games on the show and beat everyone free, but no one wants to see a human robot own a game. I already said what’s up and most people here probably agree with me, but I’ll repeat it for you, Ceasar saved the latest episode from boredom. Also they want to win that money. Mind-fucking everyone in the house right before the gauntlet is a great strategy and Ceasar was pro as fuck at it. He got Yaz to almost cry, he got Jake angry (which isn’t difficult to accomplish), he got Justin terrified of a possible fight, and he had both the girls going up for elimination. If your opponent isn’t 100% focused on the task at hand then that’s a great advantage for you.
