If they fuck with the actual “gaming competition” part of the show so much that JWong isn’t in first after the fighting episode, then he isn’t going to win. The grand finals is going to be the same thing as the first episode, a frat boy vs. a psuedo model mashing random button combinations in some game no one cares about.
Kat wasn’t THAT bad. She had a few beginner/basic setups. 1,2 (jabs) followed up by a throw on hit. 1,2 jabs followed by 1+2 as counter hit fishing. She ended the match by doing the same jabs followed by a mid low “mixup” df+4,4. She managed to block the string that kept hitting her as well.
I think I read somewhere awhile back that Wong gets eliminated pretty early.
From what I can tell, it’s like that in every reality show.

On shows like Work of Art, Project Runway, Top Chef, etc, trained professionals are competeing in challenges centered entirely around thier expertise and skill.
On WCG, first place goes to the best balance of Double Dare hijinks and button mashing, and the only actual gaming is shown in snippits in the last five minutes of the show between someone that’s earned thier last place slot and whoever else gets slapped against them.
This show is simultaneously insulting itself and it’s audience, an impressive feat.
i was disappointed the show pretty much sucked, i doubt i will watch the rest of the episodes especially if wong gets eliminated early
Yeah, I’d like to think that none of us would be watching if we didn’t “know” someone on it.
I literally shook my head that one black person on it is there because of Madden. Sigh.
I have to laugh the other sports guy already got eliminated.
I might keep up with this since even if it isn’t entertaining–part of the reason why I don’t watch reality shows in the first place–or informative, it’s inoffensive enough and there’s a couple of people that I vaguely know. Faye also helps.
Yeah, she’s pretty cute and seems down-to-Earth in a geeky way. I lol’d at her doing a Chun-Li impression at the beginning and then referencing the Matrix in that arbitrary physical challenge.

So far, though, Vanessa is the only one that maybe looks like an asshole and there’s fairly independent of games.
And those who watch it, that are not gamers, are non the wiser.
Crap this mess is damn pitiful. I was shaking my head at the entire thing. The announcer was making it seem that Bob was the ‘slower’ character, that chick BARELY started to adapt in like the last round.
In short, basic online Tekken 6 scrub fight.
I got into the show halfway through, and saw the overall results, and I was like “wtf” at Justin not at 1st. I would assume that physical challenge crap was part of the mess that put em there.

I also hate that they didn’t even show any of the fights in survival mode, it was just like hurrrrr derp this dude got 5 wins, this girl got 5wins etc,etc. I really wanted to see how easy it was for justin and it was pretty lame that they didnt even show the scores.
