Is this a “bring your own stick” type tournament? I would love to enter but the only sticks I own are on DC and 360 and considering that most games will be played on PS2 or PS3, I am kind of out of luck. Do I need to bring my own stick to enter, or will there be sticks there for everyone to use?
Most tournaments are byoc, you can bring a pad if you want to use that. If you ask I’m sure there are people out there nice enough to lend you theres to use.

there is a fairly significant guilty gear crowd in calgary but besides that i don’t see a lot of people playing the game, if there isnt a lot of guilty gear players showing up could we consider making cvs2 a main tournament?
Hey whats up RoyalT! That’d be amazing if we could both go! Bring our HF’ skills! I hope I can make it and get the time off work. I just need the definite date and time/place to make arrangements. I’m also hoping some ppl from Winnipeg go so I at least know some ppl there. I went to TST in Winnipeg this past summer and it was weird going to my 1st tourney by myself not knowing anyone but it ended all good. Hopefully WCC will be the same :wgrin:
Sounds good Norman. Everything is going well, although it’s -40 today and I am at work. I’m sure this tourney will be fine, these guys seem like a good bunch. I believe the only one I’ve played is Jinrai on GGPO perhaps and he’s very good. Perhaps we can bring some of that HF thunder and make a dent in this one.

Hall: We’ve chosen one. It’s much nicer, more well-equipped, in a better location, and cheaper than the one we used last year. People that don’t have access to a car and/or live on the southside will benefit by its closeness to the LRT. It will cost $200 to reserve the hall (I’ll take care of that), another $375 for the rental (I’m looking at people like Owen, Jeff, and others to step up), and $300 for the damage deposit (apparently Calvin has that covered).
Rules: I will be responsible for STHD and SF4. For those two games, we will use the rules to be announced for Evolution 2009. Until Evolution makes a statement to the contrary, STHD Akuma and SF4 Seth/Gouken are allowed. In STHD, the use of charge storing glitches that require the simultaneous use of a dpad and analog stick are banned (walk up Chun super is legit, walk up Bison super is not).
Equipment: We’re approaching the number of consoles we need to run WCC2 effectively, but we can always use more. However, we still need TVs badly. It would also be nice to have at least two camcorders, at least one of which comes with a tripod.
