That’s what I’m talking about! Haha, Seattle is pretty damn good. Again I say either vote for the teams for BOTH WC and EC or let Row and Justin be captains and choose their crew. (just so there isn’t any complaints of unfairness and what not)
I know 4 of the 5 people for Team WC have already been chosen, but I’m willing to host an 8-man invitational tourney the weekend before Evo at UCLA to decide who gets 2 spots on Team WC. I don’t think Kuan or Row would be able to make it, so since they’ve already been placed on the team they deserve to keep their spots. 1 person will be chosen at Stage 2 on July 26. That leaves 2 other spots open and I think most people think having a tourney to decide who deserves to be on the team is the best idea. We’d hold one tourney with all 8 participants randomly pitted against one another and then a second tourney with the other 7 randomly placed against one another. Whoever gets 2nd place in the first tourney would get a bye in the 2nd tourney. With Ponder’s consent, this would definetely happen…

Of the team you just posted, will you you, josh and rick mears even be going to evo. All the people that justin picked are confirmed for Evo. Josh already told me he’s not going. Rick definitely won’t be going. And you have never travelled further than the break for a tournament.
You say mixup doesn’t have as much experience as you, but how many other majors have you played in besides NEC and ECC8? SummerJam and March Madness? Okay. Anything else. And need I remind you the last time you fought mixup, he beat you twice in the singles at ECC8.
Justin’s pick of himself/sanford/wigfall/X/Mixup is exactly whom I would pick based on past results and the status of each player going to evo from EC, and I believe Justin made a very fair decision without playing favorites at all.

Brandon, I hate being honest. The truth hurts. Seriously, your Senintel is mediocre at best. Your storm is good, but your magneto is nothing compared to Wigfall’s, Justin’s, Mixup’s and any other serious Mag player on the EC. So I gotta tell the truth and everyone that has played you has realized this fact for the longest time: without IM you would never have gotten past the first round at any tournament. I’m not hating, this is the truth.
Josh would be one of my picks if he would go, but he’s not.
I think he gained some experience at ECC8 when he got 4th and beat you twice in two different sets.
Rick would also be one of my picks for an alternate and arguably a team member, but speaking honestly, there’s no way possible that rick will be going to evo.
What right reasons are you talking about?
I think that the EC/WC teams should be divided amongst different regions, whereas there can be no more than 2 people per team per region. I know the EC isnt as densly populated with competition as the WC, but I think this is the only fair way, aside from the pre-evo tournies to determine all spots. Also, I think that there should be 2 alternates as well to fill the team. There are too many people that could possibly represent each coast, and having a 5 man team is limited. I understand why, but adding 2 extra alternates gives each team someone to rely on for any emergency occasion that should come up, and also let more great players represent their coast.
P.S.== Randy Lew deserves to be on this team…his norcal domination is too much to be left behind.

There is a mini tournament… it’s called SVGL. I think the problem is people don’t want to travel to nor cal to enter it.
I assume the selection Ponder made was based on Apex, what else is it there for? Plus it’s well balanced because you have 2 from so cal and 2 from seattle and last one from nor cal. Instead of ranting at them, why don’t you guys encourage David lee to go to Nor Cal because I know I will encourage him.

Hrmm… I am not sure how good Randy Lew is because I have not seen him play MvC2, but I think he got like 9th place in a Seattle tournament. (not that it says all that much from one tournament) Again though I think Row and Justin should just be captains, and pick their teams, they know who is good on the WC and EC better than most people.
