Hey Ammy folks, I’m working on the first combo in NeoRussell’s video two posts above mine and I’m having a little trouble. Hoping someone would help me out.
So, I can pretty much do all of it up until the whiffed exchange. I’m having an INCREDIBLY difficult time getting the timing right on that. I either end up with a broken combo, or an actual exchange. Anyone able to give me some tips for that combo? =O
Hey man I just discovered how to do a whiffed exchange. What you have to do is do the aerial exchange either a down or side one as fast as possible. I posted a video today of different exchange combo’s and resets with my team and such. Check it out.

27 minutes of MastaCJ against MarlinPie. Sound is a bit off sync. There’s no actual gameplay commentary (other than “How do you get an instant overhead on Ammy? What?!?”) but I really enjoyed the dialogue. Whether or not you enjoy that kind of commentary, there’s some seriously good Ammy play from MastaCJ.

Hey guys so yesterday I competed in a tourney at Daytona Beach Florida. Was wondering if you guys would like to critique my gameplay and tel me what I did right and wrong etc and what I should keep on doing or stop doing etc. Luckily I made 2nd which is very humbling. Also in grand finals I feel like I lost because I kept running into haggar or doing the buster-> lightning when there was no hit confirm with the buster on my opponent. Btw I was thinking ill make a new video thread when ultimate drops, and keep it consistently updated barring any unforseen circumstances(since the OP ditched this one). Only issue is I can’t think of a fitting name, if theres one thing hommie did right was pick the perfect name for an ammy video thread. Any ideas for what I should call it?
Thanks alot man I’ll def take a look at that video. I know it’s kinda hard to make sword combo’s with the assists that I have but I found some ways to try and make them work.
Yea its hard, but its by far her most damaging stance, at the moment Im actively forcing myself to use the stance since its easier to be lazy and mash :h: in disc but sword gives her a lot of options.
yeah i totally agree disk is easier to just hit confirm with medium mash H and do that basic bnb lol. But yeah I’m trying to learn this one because i think it’s going to be useful in ultimate and i think running away and creating space and playing the “footsie” game in sword stance will be really helpful. I already have some movement options with her aside from air dashing in using sword mode

I’ll think of more. I’d prefer a title that mentions “Sun Goddess” somewhere. At the minimum, something to do with the sun. We have a dog-based, and painting-based, and a deity-based (sort of) thread title.
Watercolors in Motion is godlike though, not gonna lie.

But yea if you wanna make one then by all means, s’long as you ain’t gonna ditch it like our old op Im right behind you.
Im kinda bad at being defensive. And the times when I tried one of the Solar flare counters I get whiffed H attacks. Im so bad at quickly throwing out DragonPunch motions. Still working on better timing for hit confirm weapon switch combos, but overall I hit some of them.

Spencer glitch that involves the obnoxious dog. Not really something that’s useful but if you can do it on reaction the 1/10000 times it may occur and spencer has no meter or x factor AND you have life lead, then you win!!

Why not just pose in the combo video thread? But it seems you have a good start. I never tested Glaive’s df.H like that. I knew you could call assists though.
