As for porn killing your sex drive, I would imagine that access to readily available things that arouse you to the point of being ‘forced’ to masturbate and release semen would cause a decline in testosterone (and thus, sex drive). Actually Muslims find nothing wrong with sex. In fact in Islam its haram (forbidden) to abstain from sex with your husband/wife. If your husband/wife wants to have sex, it’s your duty to accommodate them until they’re satisfied - within reason of course (no still means no). The only difference is that in Islam sex before marriage is a sin.

A “compulsion” is a natural instinct in this instance. Humans, dolphins, and banobos are the only creatures that have sex for pleasure you mean. That’s different. Humans, Banobos, and Dolphins have sex for recreation as well as for reproduction. A mating season is an expression of a compulsive, universal desire to reproduce. By compelled I meant that creatures are born with the natural instinct to try and improve their species through selective reproduction and that’s something all living organisms have in common.
What you’re talking about is having the ability to recognize sexual activity as a recreational, enjoyable experience and thus do it for fun – which is something only the species you listed can do.
