Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Yeah dudes there price were very very over price! me too i rather go on action figures right now which is much more better collections stuff.

Hope sometime i could find them very lowly cost somewhere! and thanks. Glad to know that Yahoo of Japan uses different type of search script that means i could search other materials there :wonder: i didn’t know that before.

btw rose ultra is kinda looks simple unlike the others but it has its own charm specially when rose talks.

Good to see that certain characters from certain games are actually acknowledged in SF4.

Amy is mentioned as Chris in the JP voice track. I think it’s more a question of SF4 having a more accurate translation than HD Remix introducing an official change.

Siegfried:

> Also, grats to Ultima for making the credits!

<Scooby Doo>Baroo? Rearry?! :D</Scoobie Doo> Wow no one told me. Musta been Seth who snuck my name in there or something…

re: endings

Hmmm. Some of them are a tad more vague than what I had heard (mainly with regard to Abel’s origin), but otherwise spot on. Gouken’s ending will be key, though, to clearing up his status, as will Seth’s for his, though it’s fairly obvious from what Sieg posted.

Sadly, Honda’s ending sounds nowhere near as awesome as the storyboard version I heard. It might be the same, but Sieg’s description sounds a lot tamer than the one I heard, which was legendary.

However, I’m glad at the cameos by other SF characters. I knew Adon was alive, but I didn’t know he was going to show up in Sagat’s ending. Too bad Hawk didn’t make it, cause we would have seen Juli for sure…

That’s my point. While HD Remix may have been excellent game, ultimately its still an American-made game farmed out to an external developer akin to the arcade version of Street Fighter: The Movie and I doubt the team working on SF IV were even aware the game existed (both, the developers and localization staff), and if they did, they didn’t really care that much about it. Its practically Street Fighter: The Comic: The Game (or as one other poster I knew refer to it as “Street Fighter: The Fanart Remix”). They actually address Jane and Amy as Julia and Chris in the comic.

Thank you for posting. It looks like they are at least acknowledging that she lost to Dictator pretty badly, but where was she during the time passed between Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter IV? That is kind of an important detail to leave out.

I like that he lets her live now. Maybe it’s safe to say that she’ll be sticking around now. Heh.

Ultima: That wasn’t Honda’s ending, only his prologue. Haven’t beaten it with him yet.

Okay, here’s a further set, now that I’ve learned how to beat Seth consistently:

Guile

Spoiler

Ending: Intersects pretty cleanly with Chun-Li’s and Abel’s. He’s talking to her when she drops out. He’s attacked by Seth, but Abel intervenes. Apparently they haven’t really joined up before then. Guile runs on, and then it cuts to the same final piece as Chun-Li’s. Note: He meets Abel as a rival battle and Abel recognizes his moves but is reluctant to talk to Guile about it. Either Abel was around back at Alpha or Charlie is still alive… O_o

Abel

Spoiler

His rival battle is the exact same as Guile’s, just from his perspective. His ending has him fighting Seth (so it cuts in in the middle of Guile’s) and he sees some similarity to himself. Before he can think about it any more, Seth is turned off (basically) by Bison and Abel moves on.

Vega

Spoiler

His ending also ties up with the Chun-Li/Guile/Abel story. He gets in first and retrieves the data before Chun-Li, and then sets off the gas on her as he escapes. Worth noticing is his rival battle where Chun-Li thought that he was dead, so apparently she did fight him in SF2.

Cammy

Spoiler

Prologue: She is off on vacation as Wolfman turns up and gives her a mission. She is setting out to stop SIN and find the connection to Shadaloo. The dam project threatening Dhalsim’s village is mentioned too. Ending: She realizes BLECE is short for Boiling Liquid Expanding Cell Explosion after looking up the data. As it’s similar to Bison’s experiments on her, she decides to destroy the data. C. Viper shows up and tries to stop her, but Cammy deletes the data, and Viper casually walks off “Oh well, years of investigation wasted”. Cammy joins up with Delta Red and we get a brief cameo on the entire group.

Viper

Spoiler

She fights Chun-Li in her rival battle and is afraid that her cover was nearly blown. Ending: Seth realizes that she’s been a double agent for another organization and starts to say its name: “C…” as she cuts him off. She then talks to her superiors and mentions there are “26 more to go”. No mention of her child, but most of the post-battle dialogues are either references to her as a business woman or a MILF.

Sakura

Spoiler

Ending: It ties in right after Ryu’s, as she finds him confronting the SnH device. She is showered with evil energy before Ryu Shoryukens the device, and they both stagger off. This ending is promptly followed by…

Dan

Spoiler

Prologue: He wants to go into the tournament to promote Saikyo-ryu and chastises Blanka who didn’t tell him about the last one. Blanka mutters that Dan’s phone was off since he didn’t pay the bills :). Ending: Dan is escaping the exploding base as he runs into Blanka. As they are about to be hit by the explosion, two energy beams cut it off as Sakura and Ryu turn up to save the day. Dan, of course, tries to downplay the situation.

Fei Long

Spoiler

Prologue: His previous movie Street Tournament was a success, being about an criminal dictatorship being taken down. But the current movie is having problems. It’s about an evil business and suddenly his sponsors have withdrawn, and his crew is being attacked. He sets off to find the ones responsible. Rival battle: Abel, apparently a big fan, turns up to challenge him. (Abel also unlocks Fei Long when you beat Seth with him) Ending: He confronts Seth who taunts him.

It’s pretty clear that there are a couple of interconnected storylines. So far:
Ryu/Sakura/Dan/Blanka
Chun-Li/Vega/Guile/Abel
Chun-Li/Gen (this conflicts with the above)
Cammy/C.Viper

well :wonder:

were was rose?

Spoiler

Dictator “…could always use Rose as a spare host body… again”

that’s my theory and i’m sticking to it :arazz::rofl::sweat:

re:sakura
hmm… does someone get a sunburn?

re:feilong
how’ld he get him as a fanboy?

[quote=“True_Tatsu, post:9857, topic:15”]

no worries friend, I didn’t ask him in this thread. It just occurred to me he answered me on my profile page  i probably asked him on his.

hmm… so Senkuui is more of an “empty dash” (like shadow-cat running :wgrin:)

It’s no problem!

Like Shadow-cat, eh? So a phase then? So this means that is what Gouken can do during that dash? [It goes through fireballs?]

I didn’t expect that at all for Fei Long, regarding his fan

Vega and Gouken did fight back when Ryu & Ken were younger, but both held back. Gouken “lost” but was only brought to the point of a KO. What was rewritten is that Gouken was first meant to be killed by Vega, but at some midpoint during Z1, Gouki was to do him in instead, much later on.

Adon’s opponent got defeated, killed was in Alpha 2 only.

Abel’s a fanboy of fighters in general; Shiozawa-san revealed that long ago in the blog entries.

[quote=“ThunderKick”]

Senkuu, but yeah, more or less.

Thanks! And sorry for the way I did the quoting, came out messed up.

Viper’s Spoiler

Spoiler

CIA perhaps?

Hmm that C is troublesome because is it a “See” C or a “Kuh” C…um…if you know what I mean. Viper herself has a C for Crimson at the start of her name…hmm…

CIA seems a bit too…hrm…on the nose I guess. Too obvious for an ‘agent’ type character and even then, why bother keeping it a secret? Its nothing big really.

Maybe a new group all-together (Street Fighter 5?) or the -actual- name of the Illuminati? They’re said to have many names right?

Also 26 more to go…could that be a reference to Bison’s backup bodies? Maybe this group is trying to eliminate all of Bison’s dupes? Would that make 30 total? SF4 Bison + Cammy + Abel + Seth + 26 unknown? That’s alot of Bisons! Maybe its a reference to the battle suit that Seth is wearing since we see more in Bison’s ending? 27 would be an odd number to produce though (unless they’ve already destroyed some) though it does tie in with the idea that Viper uses a battle suit of sorts.

Hmm. Curiouser and curiouser.

siegfried how long are the anime prologues and endings in terms of minutes ?

Since YagamiFire’s post defeats the purpose of all the spoiler warnings and nobody but us, who read the spoilers, comes here anyway, I’m going to keep talking about them openly unless one of you tells me not to do it.

I hope that the name Viper is about to mention is the new/real name for Gill’s organization as “Illuminati” was just a renaming, that didn’t fit very well. Ono repeatedly claimed that the story around Seth connects the different SF stories (II and III) so it would be surprising if she had nothing to do with them. The question is still how Seth can share a move with Urien.

Vasili10, were there more such character tidbits in Shiozawa-san’s blog entries?

I apologize about the spoilers. i am still getting use to the tags and such and…well this part of the site seems rather insular (in a pleasant, more friendly sort of way, I’ll add) and we all seem to be spoiler-mongers in this thread already.

Apologies again if it inconvenienced anyone (if it is an issue I will edit the post)

When I first saw Seth I really thought he was a…prototype Gill/Urien or something. The brothers are all about opposing forces (dark/light … fire/ice … metal/lightning) and Seth has a yin-yang in his stomach which is like -the- opposing force in coexistence symbol. Combine that with the shared move and…well there has to be something in it.

Perhaps they’re going to reveal more of Bison’s background? Soul & Psycho Power…are they one in the same or opposites in opposition? Bison forsook Soul Power for Psycho Power but was he intended to use both like the brothers?

The BLECE seems to use Satsui No Hadou…but why? With Gouken now introduced and more details given we know he uses a different Hadou…are they the same sort of power but used differently or, again, are we in a opposites in opposition situation?

Just some speculation. Don’t take anything too seriously…I’m a huge SF story-'tard (hell, I’m even running an SF tabletop game with my friends) and I love some juicy speculation.

Viper’s Backstory

Spoiler

Depending on how her fight with Chun Li goes down. Is it possible that Chun Li knows Viper? Maybe she worked with her before? Could Interpol know the identity of Viper? This could be why Viper was scared of blowing her cover.

Capcom Ownage

Capcom and SF4 Rank well on arcadia magazine

Isn’t Viper/Maya supposed to be a character in the new Chun-Li movie?

Maya -is- listed as a character in the Chun-Li movie. Hmm could this be a case of game imitating movie? Perhaps that is the inspiration for Viper or vice versa…or they linked them after the fact? Or…could just be an easter egg…
