Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Your guess is as good as mine.

I was under the same impression as well. Could you two possibly elaborate more or continue this conversation here because this peaked my interest.

Sure. Both the psycho drive and Vega have the ability to channel negative emotions , for the purpose of strengthening Vega. That’s a mental ability, ego taking control of telekinesis if you will. Before he learned about Ryu, Vega learned that the two unpleasant human emotions capable of fueling his twisted mental powers the most were anger, and even moreso, hatred. He’d kidnapped martial artists left and right, but because the majority of them were afraid of him, their psycho energy outputs were just drops in a bucket. He discovered through trial and error that fear’s a minor power boost.

Vega mistakenly thought Ryu’s power when he scarred Sagat came from anger and hate, instead of the flat-out desire to win no matter what; hence he later believed that psycho power and SnH were kindred to each other when they’re really not.

Sidetracking a smidge, the new bios at CJ’s SF4 site are exactly what Famitsu had printed, word-for-word. So nothing else new storywise yet for SF4.

Still working on the Valentine’s Day post, over 2/3’s done now, so it should be ready as planned.

So, negative emotions fuel strengthen Bisons mental power?

That’s what he discovered.

well we do have some new news regarding the SF plot.

-Chun li was ‘driven’ to destroy Shadoloo and apparently was successful which works with Urien’s statement about destroying ‘that organization’.

Notice however, it does not mention anything about Bison and his defeat.

-Guile has re-teamed up with Chun li to investigate rumors that Shadoloo is still operating.

This is interesting because Balrog was supposed to have run it into ground post SF2 (if we assume as Ultima suggests SFIV takes place immediately after SF2). So maybe Shadoloo is still hanging around?

And where does Viper fit in? She seems like she’s from Gill’s group based on her designs and move set. If she is, I would guess she’s been dispatched as an early scouting party to see what’s going on. And I’m going to predict Akuma kills her at the end of the game story thus taking away the need for her absence to be explained during SF3.

Yeah, according to his Revival ending it collapses within around a month. However, SF4 doesn’t take place immediately after SF2. Ken’s just gotten back together with Eliza at the end of 2, and as 4 opens she’s pregnant and expecting. We’re looking at likely half a year to a year passing between 2 and 4, then all of the sudden the incidents start, triggering Guile’s and more reluctantly Chun Li’s suspicions, and possibly even Dhalsim’s call to arms now that his burden to fight is for his whole village and not just his son.

Strange, Dhalsim fought for his whole village before in Alpha 2.

The “incidents” may include another plague?

Here are the rest of the SF4 profiles from CJ’s website, for consistency purposes if nothing else:

Chun Li- Divine Leg Excellent Performance
Fighting with magnificent leg moves, ICPO’s investigator. In order to search for her unaccounted for father, she became a detective at 18 years old. Having felt that Shadoloo’s shadow ought to have been driven to annihilation, she begins an investigation together with Guile.

Guile- Vacuumous Blade
A soldier belonging to the US Air Force. In order to attack Vega for his killed friend Nash, he swore revenge. With moves appended by a distinctive array of martial arts, they’re all to say for tearing to pieces. Suspecting Shadoloo’s secret maneuvers amidst multiple incidents, he stands up together with Chun Li.

Dhalsim- Deeply Caring Ascetic
Disciplined Indian monk who’s mastered yoga’s hidden purposes. While hesitant in wounding others due to fighting, for the sake of rescuing his family’s dwelling village, he wields his blazing techniques once again.

Edmond Honda- Zealous Sumo Wrestler to Call On!
A strong man with a collective notice of unprecendented sumo wrestling. His ranking is below yokozuna but, his true ability is said to be yokozuna class. For the sake of “worldwide” sumo, he flies out of the sumo realm journeying on a provincial world tour.

Zangief- Fired Up Communist Flesh
The Russian prowrestler designated as the red cyclone. With that burly flesh, constantly full of feverishly circulating patriotism he kept a dear child’s promise himself, in order to certify as the strongest, he throws himself into battle.

Blanka- Jungle Warrior
Gotten aboard an airplane which henceforth crashed into a jungle at the time he was a child, merely struggling alone, a survived genuine wild child. Trifling with opponents, his style is characteristic of captured movements. In order to become a son his mother can be proud of, he journeys out.

So, is Udon ever going to repair Sakura Ganbaru! #2? And isn’t Ryu Final #2 due to come out soon as well? :wonder:

Dhalsim is rescuing his village again? From whom?

Going by Ono’s statements about Viper messing with the rest of the cast, I would guess she’s somehow tied to a lof the troubles mentioned thus far.

And we still have no mention yet of Bison in this game which is odd. Maybe they’re re-thinking how SF2 was supposed to have played out.

what do you mean by repair ?
And thanks for the translations ^^ i might use them

The question might be “from what?”. A villain? Another plague? A villain inducing a famine? (Possibility of Viper instigating it with her elemental abilities?) We just don’t know yet.

Sure thing.:china:

The book’s missing a whole page besides duplicating another.

I’m gonna be disappointed if Bison comes back. If Shadowloo HAS to come back, at least have it ran by Balrog or something.

Just realised no ones answered this.

Translation

Fighting Vega

“Evil Emperor…fun (the sound ‘FUN’, like huh or hunh), all talk. The master of the fist is victorious. And that’s that (And that’s the only thing that matters).”

Fighting his Shadow

Gouki " You…Who are you?"
???:"I am your shadow…People who see their own shadow die…you too will be finished!"
Gouki :“FUN! (The sound, again)!I was the Master of Darkness from the beginning! I have no fear for such things as death…(you’re just trying to be)cunning!”

…and that man disappeared into the darkness again. (As usual) Many mysteries are left behind…

Oh and you know what would be the killer of a retcon excuse?

Crimson Viper being from the future coming in to mess up everything. Then Capcom would have a reason to completely change everything in SF3, muaahahahahahahaha…

Maybe they are changing/retconning some past events to make things interesting/

Or perhaps they’re acknowledging that Gouki got to him before anyone else did.

But that would change Guile’s ending as his story revolves around him confronting Vega and his family coaxing him away though.

I’m thinking that maybe… they’re trying to figure out who actually won the tournament. For awhile they could get away with no definite answer, now they have to provide one and a satisfactory one at that. Ono seems to know about and have a pretty good grasp of SF’s story as well.

You’ll learn next week, that there were 3 out of 16 people whom Capcom gave alternate endings in Super X, if they defeated Gouki instead of Vega, so they really intended to have these 3 confront him face to face.
