There is no way the FCC would let them do that. They are probably seeing if it fixes itself after 24 hours. If it didn’t, they’d have to issue a disc through the mail that updates your ps3. So hopefully it fixes itself instead so it won’t take as long.
It won’t let you play games for 2 days… it’s not THAT big of a deal. You act like the console has a 75% failure rate like a certain other console. At the end of the day, it’s an inconvenience.

this whould have to happen while i was on an FF9 binge, didnt even notice the clock problem til this afternoon when i first read about this bug.
things seem to be back up now… im downloading the God of War 3 demo atm…gona cut it off after it installs though… or after it finishes.

Yea, mine is working again also. No missing trophies or corrupted files.
Well, I don’t think it’s entirely fixed, but at least I am able to USE my PS3 now. It looks like everything is in order except signing on to PSN for me at least.
I’m still timin out on psn. marvel isn’t fun when there’s not ragequitters, glitchers, and spammers. 
Maybe manually set your date/time if its off?
I think I’m gonna just wait until tomorrow to try and get on.

Just tested my PS3, it works now, except I popped in Blazblue and tried it but it deleted all my trophy data. Sweet. I’m hoping it didn’t delete everything else because I only tried to start Blazblue while it was “broken” earlier today.
Hopefully not because I needed only one more trophy to 100% batman…

I put sf4 in last night not knowing about this and my trophies disappeared but after googling today I read trophy lists return when you get a new trophy so they should return, hope thats true I only needed 5 I think to get platinum. My other trophies r intact I only need one to get platinum on Batman too, good game no? This has been really embarassing for Sony.
Glad the problem was resolved. Kind felt like I owned a Toyota & was told to stop driving it immediately…wait…
I could care less about my Trophies in any game. I was just happy that my game data was still there & the paid DLC. And while I hate not playing for 24 hours, props to Sony for correcting the problem. I was convinved that they would either have to issue a patch via a download/USB upload or have everyone mail away for a CD to correct the problem.
Well when I played Blazblue for like 5 secs I got a trophy but my data was still all reset…I didn’t log into PSN though so perhaps that will solve the issue. Just to check overall trophy data I logged into my account on playstation.com and everything still seemed to be in order. I’ll get home and try it later today.
Also, I live at school but my dad sent me an email saying he heard about the PS3 issue because it was misprogramed as a leap year, so he told me not to turn on my system…lol I love my dad.
