I used to get a match or two every couple of minutes or so, but recently I’ve been waiting for up to five minutes or longer without anything to show for it. Is this normal? One of the reasons
that I started playing SFV is the convenience of being able to challenge opponents whenever you want to, especially since there are no arcades that have SFV near my area and none of my
friends play it. I know that the PC and PS4 versions have cross-platform play (which is one of the reasons I bought the game, larger player base) so that shouldn’t be a problem…
Maybe it’s timezones? That’s generally a factor in most online games. I’m in Southeast Asia currently, but SFV doesn’t have server regions as far as I know. And it shouldn’t, they are
supposed to be the World Warriors and all that.
Or maybe it’s just a run of bad luck. I have my settings set to any hardware, 3-5 connection speed. Anyone have tips for getting more opponents, faster? Does MMR (or whatever is SFV’s
equivalent) play a part? I’m currenly unranked if that makes any difference.
Yes it’s normal, online matchmaking is complete and utter trash. The odd part is it was better during the betas and I’m sure there were less people on.
And I mean the real betas, not the beta that is the final product.
Their servers are retarded.
I’ve waited an hour for one match a couple of weeks ago.
Then I play a dude who was teleport city from round 2 on and I’m like “Fucking lagswitching bitch”, 1 hour later I play the exact same person and the match is smooth as butter.
Then you think “Fuck this I’ll play lobby”, and out of the 20 matches it shows you, you see the ping of two people, one from Japan, the other from Brazil…
Capcom got some ghetto ass servers on this game, it’s horrible.
