Played some puzzle strike online yesterday, and the game is really damn fun.
Jaldaboath: you can check shipping prices to Mexico or anywhere by adding stuff to your cart a sirlingames.com and entering your address. You don’t have to actually buy to see what the shipping would be. It’s probably going to be pretty high though…

I am still dealing with setting up that manufacturing run for the next printing, and the hassle of SHIPPING thousands of games at once, and also working with the current (smaller) manufacturer on getting the quality of the printing up. Glad to hear you guys like it, that will be more motivation to work through all this hassle, ha.
is the game doing well and are you making dat money? I really hope you get to make an original fighting game some day.
I’m actually making massively negative money right now. Tens of thousands on Yomi’s art, tens of thousands on manufacturing runs, and so on. It all has to be paid up front, even though Yomi isn’t released yet. Puzzle Strike is currently a small run (larger run is coming…), and though Puzzle Strike always sold out, this current manufacturer just can’t make it fast enough. That’s why I have to step up to a huge run, so there is enough to sell to make any kind of business out of it.
When Puzzle Strike is available in larger quantity and when Yomi is available at all (besides the print-and-play versions, I mean), then I hope it will all be ok…as long as I get the word out, get it to more reviewers, get you guys interested, and so on. Not many people know this stuff even exists, but people seem to really like it and rate it highly when they find out. So yeah, it really can work out, make good money, have expansions, and be the basis of a real fighting game. I’m working on that too, but to do it right, these card games need to go somewhere.
So help out if you can (either now or in December) and these card games can get you familiar with the Fantasy Strike characters that you’ll (hopefully) someday play in a fighting game.

sirlin, can it be assumed, you plan for no future expansion with all the different chip diameters being released with the two versions that are out, and the second reprinting to come?
also, i bought a v1 standard copy last week, do you send tracker #'s for the package?
If it’s successful enough for expansions, there’s only one possible choice. They must be printed using the same process as the second printing. That’s the only way to them made at a cost-feasible price, and to get them in enough quantity. There’s going to be thousands of the second printing, so I’ll have to standardize on that.
As for your order, it probably hasn’t even left the manufacturer to get to the warehouse that will then ship to you. The warehouse will e-mail when it ships. This exactly illustrates why the second printing is important, to just get tons of games that can all ship instantly to anyone who wants them, instead of all this waiting.
I love playing dominion, puzzle fighter, Magic the gathering and this seems like all 3 mixed together! This sounds like a must buy for me. I’m picking it up, though I’m gonna have to get the version coming out December. Deluxe pretty steep for me right now.

If you ever played Dominion with someone who was a slow shuffler you would understand how infuriating it can be waiting for someone.
Unfortunately the speed saved from not having to shuffle the poker chips is pretty much negated by the inconvenience of looking at your hand when it’s a fistful of chips so it’s pretty much a moot point.
