any local stores selling the game early??
im texting my friend whose friends with a manager at a local store, not sure they even sell new games thoughā¦ iām thinking the exact same thing, but I canāt even think of any local gaming stores, Iād actually go into a mom & pop store and beg them to sell it to me if i knew of one in the area taht sold new gamesā¦
Thereās GameStop down in the levee. (Not exactly a Mom & Pop store, though.) Thereās also Disc Replay and CD Land, but theyāre pretty far on the other side of town. Iām not sure if they sell new games, but itās worth a shot. OH! also, some convenience stores, like 7/11, have a small selection of new games. Theyāve been known to put out new releases earlier than they were supposed to.

I talked to my RA and sounds like weāre gonna be having a SSF4 tournament to celebrate the release. The planned date is for next wednesday, the 28th. Winner gets a copy of the game! Itās gonna be on PS3, the format will be as follows:
everyone picks 2 characters, one of which must be new (you can have 2 new characters but they canāt be the same character). First game the two opponents play their new characters, second game they play their old ones, third game (if necessary) the characters that won the first two rounds fight.
Itās gonna be in the hillenbrand lobby (C103) at 8:00 PM wednesday the 28th, I really want a ton of people to show up so even if youāve never come to a SF4 session here before or even if you donāt think youāre good at fighting games please come! Having everyone use 1 new character should even out the playing field. Hope to see everyone there!

We actually stopped by our GS after the block party. I managed to squeeze some info out of him. They DO have the copies of SSF4 but we couldnt get him to sell us any, out of fear that he would be fired.

is there a 7/11 by campus? Iāve heard from multiple sources that 7/11 is THE place to go if you want to get a game before street date.
iām pretty sure most 7/11ās in the midwest donāt sell games and itās more of a california thing, but i could be wrong.
