I also saw something about a crashed laptop, I have a bit of computer forensics background/tools and I could probably recover the data off the hard drive pretty easily if the drive isn’t physically broken and it hasn’t been reformatted. Even if it has been formatted I might be able to retrieve it, it’s just much trickier. Just throwing that out there.

Okay so Hsien-Ko looks really, really good. Sent does too but he also seems a lot more sluggish than he used to be.

It’s very hard to tell what sent plays like so far since no one’s used his fly mode in the official trailers.
Also hsien ko’s yellow thingy is her dark force, it gives her unlimited super armor for the duration of the super, kind of like Colossus’ one super in mvc2.

It’ll give people a chance to see all the gimmicky fatalities and whatnot without having to rent the game, MK is fun to watch even if you have no interest in playing the game so I guess it makes sense to me

I think GGXXAC had the most spectacular failure one year (2007?), but it was before the age of streaming so it’s not as widely known. I don’t remember all the details but I think Marn might have had something to do with it and I know it resulted in GG being temporarily dropped from the roster the following year.
One way or another, MK9 could be the greatest spectacle in Evo history. I don’t like to wish harm on other people’s games but I have to admit the idea of MK9 being a hilarious debacle appeals to me more than the concept of an actual tournament-worthy MK game.

They were talking about how there wasn’t going to be a women’s tournament this year and he accidentally said something like “they will just have to join the REAL tournament” when he probably should have used a word like “main” instead. it was funny because he immediately realized his mistake and got super pissed at himself
