Maybe Chun just isn’t that good in Super. I mean she didn’t win a single round at our get-together yesterday, whereas in Vanilla I recall her doing fairly well in West Lafayette. I don’t know what happened, must be that ultra damage nerf Venomish was talking about.

Obviously Sagat was really really overrated in vanilla…most of our meetings he didn’t get a single win back then
I think I’m going to finally try to play Ryu seriously like I’ve been saying I should do forever, I think playing him will help me focus on just fundamentals and give me a nice fall-back when Gen, Cammy, and Adon aren’t working out for me

Hey mike have you unlocked all the MBAA characters yet? I was watching some MB videos last night and noticed that their character select screens had 5+ more characters than mine… I told you guys there were 30 characters!!! anyway I tried unlocking one of the characters today and stopped because the arcade mode is too fucking long… you have to beat all of the characters in each storyline it looks like… wtf… Also to unlock archetype earth you have to beat every characters arcade mode, like seth in sfiv but 10x longer obviously due to the length of each characters storyline… It’s nuts, I’m gonna look for a save file online so I can actually start learning a character. Someone HELP!!

No I do not use a Belkin but go to http://portforwarding.com That should help. One thing I do hate about the 360 is that I cannot play certain people on that, but I can play anybody on the PS3. WTF!!!
thats where I went to! Do you know if you need to set your router to static instead of dynamic IP assigning or is it enough to just set your xbox to a static IP address… Also just wondering, you around lafayette?

I’ve been bugging out over some new (to me) Chun Li combos, she’s seriously buff in this game.
MK hasan-shuu, cr.LK xx EX legs, U2 – 415 damage
j.HP x2, cr.HP xx HK legs xx MK legs, cr.LK xx EX legs, U2. – 353 damage, 501 stun
or if you’re in the corner you can tack on EX bird after the EX legs, then it does 371 damage, 587 stun!
Seriously, bitch can stun you in a combo and a half, land ultra off an overhead (or low) midscreen with 1 meter, it’s nuts.
Too bad those both have delayed links so I’m never hitting them online.

Looks like you’ve been in the lab too! Our scene is looking to be reaallly strong now. Everybody is fine tuning their characters at this point so we should be getting a lot better and able to win tournaments now.
Isn’t it so fun learning new combos?. Its amazing how one day you can’t do a combo, then the next day its really easy for you. Like last week I never considered learning st. HK -> st LP xx light tatsu cr. HK because I always thought it was too hard to do or just something the Japanese could do. Then like 3-4 days ago all of a sudden I enter training mode and start doing it easy. Its crazy. Same thing with that combo I did in the clip and lp lp lp into sweep (although I’ve been working on that one on and off since I saw daigo do it). all of a sudden you can do them and its awesome!!
I think the only thing left for me to learn is instant air fireball crossup, but I watched tokido do it like 40x on the godsgarden stream today so i should have it down soon, you guys should watch it too (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/godsgarden), tokido and mago were both playing on the same xbox kinda like teamspooky doing online matches against some reallly good console chars like gouken gen cammy ibuki etc.
yah i love learning new combos. like this new pressure string with Bison where you scissor kick into scissor kick into scissor kick over and over

chris you should learn the cr.mp, cr.lk xx scissors combo that thing’s badass.
I really need to get consistent comboing after hasan-shuu with chun, it’s such a gamechanger when you can get 400 dmg just for making the other guy block the wrong way. It’s like dudley mode.

That’s cr.HP xx LLs. I think it’s character specific, but I’m not for sure. Either way it’s a 1-frame link that you can’t plink because you have to slide off it, and IMO you’re better off linking into cr.LK xx EX legs for an ultra setup.
