I pretty much agree with that tier list.
I think Guile, Dee Jay, T. Hawk, and Honda are too high, but who can really say for sure.

New characters are definitely going to change as people get used to them
Gen’s gonna rise up to A+ tier without a doubt…how can he not with his super super fast new Oga, it’s like a million times better then Jaguar tooth 
I think Guile is definitely high tier, look at what people like Modinside are doing with their 94% winning percentage on Live (if that counts for anything). Still I think the problem with tiers are how people explain them. You can say Honda doesn’t feel like an A but if the ranking is based on the sum of the ratio of wins to losses for each character, you have to say specifically what matches must be changed to lower him. I think tiers should be based on counterpicks. If you have 3s or worse you’re C, a lot of 4s would be B, some 4s would be A, and all 5s or better would be S. Sure Dan had to work hard in Vanilla but certainly not as hard as Gief vs Seth.
EDIT: Actually I’m just salty and think Blanka is C tier because every time I fight Balrog I weep blood.

No idea why Honda leapt up the tier list. He isn’t any different, and U2 is not all it’s cracked up to be. Though him being exactly the same is a bit of a buff, it is not enough to make him A tier. Unless I missed a whole bunch of U2 and command throw shennanigans.

yeah we totally should ayma. I just bought a 37 inch crt off of craigslist for 50$. So much less of a hassle than worrying about lag on expensive hdtvs… omg that shit its gonna be heavy as hell picking up :). Also Mike, I got the plugs in when would be the best time you could put those in at your convenience? Thanks again, also I tried plugging in the stick to the ps2 recently to mess around with yakuza and alpha anthologies, and it wouldnt work with the rj45 bridge and all. Do you think its a problem with the ps2 cord since it was a 3rd party extension cord im pretty sure, or a problem with the cthulu/imp? Think you could use my cord off a legit dual shock that came with the ps2 for the din 8 pin just incase? Anyway just wondering. Also guys we should go to EVO!
Tony, I’ll text you when I get home tonight and you can bring that stuff over and I’ll get it done tonight. I’ll be doing some of my own stuff tonight (I don’t have a ps2 cable right now actually). Did you hold the home button when you plugged it in? If not two of the pins were Xbox 360 usb rather than cthulu outputs and the ps2 needs like ALL of them. If you held the home button I’m not sure what it is, possibly a bad connection to the RJ-45 though I checked it. I’ve got a ps2 so I’ll test it next time to make sure it works for real.
Also, a good Samsung HDTV comes with a game mode that lags less than half a frame and if you use the VGA input a lot of HDTV’s are in the same range (8 ms or less).
Also, the timing of links doesn’t change with TV lag, the rhythm is the same but the visual cues are off from the rhythm. I think people make FAR too big a deal out of tv lag. Outside of tournament play it really should not matter as it only changes how quickly you can respond to what your opponent is doing.
But anyway, glad you got yourself a nice large tv to play on. Way to get a nice deal as people move out and abandon stuff.

I pretty sure there’s a 0% chance I can do it either, just because the timing with my classes with ssfiv starting @ 9a.m. it would mean I’d have to miss like 3-4 days of summer school if we drove which would be impossible to do, and I might also miss an exam. The only other option would be for me to buy 500$+ airplane ticket which would probably make the event cost around 1 thousand dollars :(.
I say we just play street fighter/melty blood the weekend of the 9-11th and have the stream on while we play would be awesome and cheap!
