The only one on that list I REALLY hate is Wolverine’s just because it ground bounces/causes like five seconds of hitstun. Divekicks are fine to me as long as it’s restricted to one or two characters.

For the record, Cyber Sub-Zero is redonk. He has Sub-Zero’s Slide, Sub Zero’s Freeze, a Parry attack instead of ice clones, and a Cyrax-like Ball throw. Two(!) air dives, neither of which on block gives blanka-ball animation, and a very very extensive movelist. He’s pretty badass. Oh, and his X-Ray is a air dive.
I kind of feel like all my MK hype is dead now. Jay poisoned the game for me hahaha
Oh by the way remember how we had no idea what was causing the new costumes to unlock? You unlock a costume whenever you find its concept art in the krypt. Then go over and check the character in that one tower and it’ll tell you.
Oh so there are alternate costumes? I was worried about that because all the gameplay I’ve seen so far only has 1 outfit for each character.

It’s just kind of blehhhhh. It’s slow, normals absolutely do not interact in ways you would expect, weird shit is happening and it’s never really clear why.
Yeah I figured that out yesterday, when they said “You’ve unlocked…Raiden’s Thunder” or something like that, that meant a new costume after visiting nekropolis…
You unlock Cyber Sub-Zero by getting to Chapter 13 in Story Mode, and you get Quan Chi by completing story mode.
my guess w/r/t the interaction weirdness is the fact that hitboxes are bound to the 3D model instead of being big squares independent of the characters like they are in virtually any other fighting game
Yeah which IMO is a terrible idea.
Actually, Croft, We saw this in the practice mode. When you throw punches and kicks it shows you the hitbox for that move while you do it…
