hey guys any of you ps3 owners encounter a problem where the console just stops reading your disks? 
That happened to me. I think it’s a case of the blu-ray diode within the PS3 dying. Probably have to shell out 150 for a refurb from PSN.
If you have a fat PS3 you might be able to find a replacement blu-ray drive for pretty cheap. If you’re interested I have one left over from my YLOD ps3 phat.
thats what a lot of my research is comin up with, the blu ray laser being busted. john i might be interested in it if its still fully functional. u wouldnt happen to know how to install one would u?
Yeah I actually know how to install one, I had to fuck around all up inside my PS3 when I was trying to fix it. The motherboard on mine is fucked but the blu-ray drive should still work fine.

That’s a pretty good guide on how to do it. It’s only marginally harder than replacing a desktop CD/DVD drive.

I first thought of Clay Fighter 63 1/3, but then I also remembered this weird fighting game that had a cow as a super secret character. I played the latter for about three days, and have never touched Clay Fighter.
Yeah Clay Fighters was my first thought too, but then I went through my 64 roms folder looking for all sorts of terribad 64 fighters and boy did I find a lot. Bio Freaks, Fighters Destiny, War Gods, Transformers Beast Wars, Mace, Flying Dragon, Dual Heroes, Dark Rift, Deadly Arts, Mortal Kombat 4, and KI Gold.
I think Fighters Destiny is what I had in mind for my second guess. Of all the others, I’ve only played MK 4, and that was for PSOne. Either way, I would have to decide how much of a toll such a bad game would have on my sanity before I put in a buck for it. Otherwise, I would rather swing on some fools with Spider-Man in Mahvel.
