Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Underdogs (XBOX360)

This tournament is meant to give a chance to those whom are less skilled by preventing the top players from entering. Only those given approval by the judges will be allowed to play in this tournament.

Entry fee: $10

Pay out:

1st - 70% + 8 Raffle Tickets
2nd - 20% + 3 Raffle Tickets
3rd - 10% + 1 Raffle Ticket

All matches are best 3/5 Sets
Timer: 99 second default
Losers are able to change characters

I’ll have to see what the other judges think but in my opinion, the following players are ineligible:

Joker, Nickcam, RDK, Rebelo, White R, Quandizzle, Chokehold, Mr. Trite, E. Hai, DarkDragon, Chachaman, Rikir, Jing, Neorussell, and myself

DarkDragon although good has not placed high in any UMvC3 tournaments that I know of. He should be fine to enter. There are certainly a lot of killers outside of those list of players but again, based on rankings, Luis and Jing are ok in my opinion. They are in the grey area in my opinion atleast. We can all agree that Marvel is random enough that this game can create lots of upsets. If anything, just use Hulk on Jing and you win. Just my thoughts.

I don’t know why ppl keep bringing up jing and I don’t know why Russell is speaking for me.

Based of of the criteria I was told last time anyone who hasn’t placed top 3 multiple times in locals or placed high in majors should be allowed in. So that means no troll NeoRussel should be let in, Id love to see Russel come in with hype, setups and solid play and then see marvel kick in and he gets a hay maker over head, helm breaker, bionic fraud, lv4 wolverine ect

If DD and Quan are cool with Jing and Russell joining I won’t oppose it. My reasoning is that Jing generally does pretty well in tourneys having placed top 3 in several and made it out of pools at T13, and I think he beat Chokehold to get there. If you guys watched Russell vs. Quan at T13 or Russell vs. Nickcam at Toryuken you should understand why I don’t think he should be allowed to join. If he would just learn to optimize damage with his deadpool and level 3 ammy, I think he’d be a top player (please watch Zeohawk videos Russell: [media=youtube]Z_ToGFqR0Vw[/media]).

Russell with respect to your comment re: DD, the reason he hasn’t placed high to your knowledge is cause he rarely joins any except for team tourneys and majors. Plus he’s a judge so it would kind of be a conflict of interest.
