That’s why I like this game. It gives me something else that I can really get into fighting game wise aside from 3S. Everyone and their mom plays 3S but this is a really good game that more people should get into. There’s quite a few reasons why more people don’t get into it including not being able to afford a next gen system, the learning curve, they’d rather play Tekken etc. Yet…when I play this game I feel I haven’t played anything this good in a very long time. I didn’t feel this way when I played Tekken 5 for the first time I sure know that. There’s a lot of mind games and tactics to employ in the game and every character feels so unique from one another.

The game is balanced. At least that’s my take on it. There are some characters folks deem as “broken” but overall there’s always an answer. You’re right, the mind games are there…definitely. Frickin’ wireless is down for me right now. Damn! :bluu:
Yeah…you don’t need to play the game very long to realize Lei Fei and Eileen have some really stupid stuff. Yet…I’ve played and learned about so many fighting games by now that it’s pretty normal to have the “broken” set of characters. Makes you feel more achieved when you beat a good player of the higher tier. If there’s any game that a broken character can be beaten in…it’s this game.

The ONLY thing that makes Lion less gay than he already is now is the fact that the ONLY thing more unorthodox than his moves is WHERE the moves are hitting you from. That is all :bluu:
Lion’s alot more unsafe than what most people think, all of his lows are VERY unsafe and his 2KK can be blocked on reaction for guaranteed damage. Some of his lows can even be punished by Goh and Akira’s SPoD moves. Watch out for lows and throws and you’ll probably beat him easily.
I just fought a decent lion player tonight and he had the right idea, he didn’t depend on his lows but used them as a plow to keep me guessing the whole match. He actually has decent mids as well and if the person always expect lows those mids will leave an enemy stunned and unable to react. Not many lion players use him that way however and use the basic 2KK followed by stomp combo which gets him killed quickly when facing more powerful foes like Wolf, Akira, or Jeffrey.

Sarah is very deadly just like everyone else, the tier system really doesn’t make a low tier like Sarah any weaker than Kage. That is the beauty of this game any one character can beat any other character on any day fairly easily if you can hit them. Not many games can say this consistently going as far back as VF4 a game that even now is still honored as a great game. It is balanced with no obvious glitches in it that a player can take advantage of at anytime.
I think I remembered running into you the other day Luckychrono. Probably even saved a replay of the match too. 
SilentNephilim, as far as I know he play a decent Aoi but his lion character still a work in progress made it good fight regardless and it took me awhile to figure him out at first until I finally did it after a few player matches because I am not used to seeing many decent lions floating around online
Long time no see how are you doing. Has your Pai gotten any better, I can tell you I learned a few things I picked a few tricks with my pai that I haven’t done in a long time and even found a combo that does the damage of one Wolf or Jeffrey’s devastating combos and it only requires 2 moves.

I haven’t played a single match (aside from testing the disc in arcade mode today) since I last posted about the DRE problems. Surprisingly everything seems fine again… hopefully. The day before I’d get DREs whenever it’s loading a match up so I started playing Burnout Paradise for the hell of it. Stupid 360. :lol:

Only 2 low tiers are Sarah and Lion. Even then they’re both still really good characters in their own right. Chibita still won SBO with Lion and he’s always been using Lion. Had to anchor his whole team to the win the match after both his teammates got knocked out. Definitely one of the most fun matches of the event.
I don’t think you can call any character in VF5 broken.
oh and deviljin, dont forget fuudo, a new generation lion player but has allready surpassed chibita in many peoples eyes.
I still like Chibita. He’s been around longer. Obviously by now someone would have surpassed Chibita. He more or less pioneered Lion. I’ve seen some videos of Fuudo and yeah…he does look good.
