Well, my time in VF5 so far: Some matches I sucked, some matches I didn’t, and some matches I really sucked.

It has been a while since I last posted here anyway the past few days have really been bad for me really, really bad I got demoted all the way from 6th dan to 4th dan and managed to regain 5th dan about an hour after losing. I have just played like garbage the past few days and I couldn’t even win 2 games in a row until I was dropped to 4th Dan this morning. I so have that and makes me wonder where that burst came from and they were of my approximate ranking too (the same ranks that were beating me senseless the last few days). I think I finally broke the funk I was in but still where did this energy come from when I needed it when I was 5th or 6th dan before. I still feel like I am playing like crap still and I feel it might happen again if I ever get 6th dan again. I even relearned a few tricks I learn in VF4 evo but not even that seemed to help until the very end.
Good games to everyone I ran into tonight. I am so upset right now. My 360 scratched up my VF5 disc! This is my 2nd copy of the game! My first 360 scratched my first copy pretty badly before the system’s DVD drive died on me not too long ago. Maybe this one is about to crap out on me too… The scratch isn’t even big either. A single scratch about 1cm long. I heard some grinding noises while the game was loading to fight an El Blaze, got a DRE, took the game out, saw the scratch, rebooted the game, ran into another El Blaze, had another DRE, and called it a night. I’ve been babying my discs and not letting anybody touch the 360 while a disc is running too! I think I’m afraid to boot the game up again now… maybe it’s time for a break from VF5.
Is that just a system malfunction? That sounds weird that it would just scratch it up like that,
Things you DON’T want to do with 360 games, including moving the damn system while a game is running. Those CD’s are fragile enough that one bad scratch…hell, one scratch at all and they’re all but done. Frickin’ my wireless is acting screwy right now, lags all the way at the moment. Maybe later I guess.
WTF edit: Am I like the only one that can’t get into VFDC right now?
I know that moving the system while a disc is bad from experience. Which is why I never touch the 360 while a disc is running (and go to the dashboard before I even eject the disc). I was really surprised when I saw the scratch because I never touched the system while I was playing. I’ll have to test the disc on a friend’s 360 sometime to see how badly (if at all) the scratch affects the playback.
PS: I can’t get on VFDC either. Been trying all night.

GG’s to all the people I was able to play yesterday. Dunno why I couldn’t connect with Hold Dat. Life just sucks like that I guess. Also plenty explanation for why VFDC is down. I guess now I have a legit excuse for not following up on the tournament that I didn’t get a chance to participate in. :lol:
