Virtura Fighter good games thread

I’m giving a shoutout to most of the folks I’ve played when my connection was staying up consistently, including the international players.

th3 killah (Wolf) - Dude almost cause me to go back to 6th dan before I finally beat him
KBtooeasy (Lion) - One of what seems to be a lot of good Lion players, which was why I was quite proud when I had that last perfect round.
Vanilla Tears - When you fought me I was getting ready to lose the rank it took me the longest to get. I’ve been making it a point to seek out SRK players. You’ll have to forgive me.

I think I’m one step closer to world domination. Now with that handy instant replay maybe NOW I can get the kinks out of my defensive game, maybe.

GG’s to da peepz I got at earlier today. Special GG’s to vildiil for still repping that Xbox Live. Nice Eileen. BTW…the online play for this game is amazing. Maybe it’s my fiber ops but I can’t even like feel the lag. I would have to play offline for a while to even notice. Like I didn’t even have a freeze or frame skip against anybody. Unless the game uses tricks to make things feel smooth…it’s amazing.

Yeah man GG’s most def, looking forward to playing you more.

All GGs to the people I played today. I’ll be getting back on in like 10 minutes.

ggs to:
gwyrgyn - i already basically told you how i feel about that set but i’d just like to say fuck wolf hawkfield i haet hims. see you at C3 ^_____^

panther neogeo - i’ve determined that you don’t so much play aoi as you play some alternate reality orochi aoi that completely throws me out of my comfort zone and makes me miss everything. and now you’re playing wolf, too…what is the world coming to ;_;
thanks for the long set, as you can see i’m trying to learn a new character so apologies for the scrubbness, hope to catch you on later this week sometime

World Domination, baby!!!

Don’t worry, I only play Wolf on the Live Player’s mode and not the ranked. That’s where me and Aoi put on the white and red business suit and go to work. 'Course now that she’s sporting a nice tan I wear black and purple :woot:(Trying to find something close to the Carolina Panther’s colors). Fun thing about Wolf is how quickly a match can end on just a few throws :lovin: As for Aoi, she still needs some more spit and polish

ooooo so you still playing good my wolf wears the belt now

I’M THE CHAMP!!!

Win or lose I still booze.

Got some good games in with Ren and Peeking Duck, a damn good Sarah player.

PS. I’m not using my own gamertag as of now, so if you ever see “ImperialYuki” playing Eileen and not Pai, that’s might be me.

GG’s to anyone i played today.

good games to u no lag too… imma forget about rank matches and just play player vs player on live… i get better sessions and i curse at jesus alot less

LOL. I could hear that you were talking in the mic but I had the sound real low so I couldn’t hear what you were saying too much. You sounded excited about the matches when I did hear you. Good stuff. Good to see someone serious with a grappler type character. They’re fun. I like Aoi cuz she’s a mix of everything. I had trouble figuring out how to get out of that ring out throw that Jeffry has. Apparently Aoi has a back turned stance she can use to get out of it. I got it to work a couple times later on. Would be hard to test it though. I was trying to use her back turned counter but apparently my timing was always off or something. Overall though GG’s and we’ll play again.

Yeah I got fios running in the house so my connection should be tops. I don’t see the real point in doing ranked matches other than to have an excuse to get stressed out over online play. I like player matches because you can leave or do whatever the hell you want and people aren’t as prone to get pissy about losing one fight. It’s just about playing online and having a good time. Ranked matches wouldn’t hurt since the netcode in this game is especially good but…I can see myself getting mad about something that I could have gotten off in an offline match. I don’t care about being the “master” VF player. I just wanna play and learn from different players. I’m assuming some of the better players play ranked matches more often so I may hop on the ranked matches just for the sake of playing them.

the back turn when we were playing was so tempting… i dont know… half those moves in the game looks so cool to me cus im so new to the game really… so whenever is see sopmeone back turned i automatically try a down + throw on them to get that swing around choke throw jeff has cus it looks badass… other than that im just trying to force crouches to low throw cus those look vicious or do that lame forward k+g into splash mountain combo cus it does ridic damage from just 2 moves.

hole to play u again sometime

It’s been a while. Live matches are mainly for fun and to try out some new stuff. Mainly, I use Wolf and just try to toss folks around the arena. Aoi is mainly for ranked matches but then I had some dude wanting to face her in the Live matches. Sadly (D.Jin) I don’t even do tourneys anymore due to my current job and I’m more geared towards VF5. With her back turned Aoi can counter most high and mid except for certain attacks (I wish she could counter low). Lately some of the “kyu” ranks and the very high ranks have been trying to use me for a punching bag. Yeah, at least in Live I can let it all hang out (fighting style, folks).

GG to all the player I played yesterday overall great matches overall. I feel that I have being pretty good up to this point. I don’t post here much and I am thinking to doing that now. So if any of want to play a good pai player look me up. I am not the best but I have beaten many good players with her and as of late I have been in Dojo working on a few things that will make my pai even deadlier, if you see me you might be able to see it.

GG’s to Calipower (Alex Valle) and Evoadvan (Walterpocalypse/Bacardi Jedi) earlier. Only got one ranked match in vs. Calipower since I was testing out the ranked matches. The only thing that I can say that I like about ranked matches is that it allows you to more quickly run through different players (since you’re not allowed to rematch). Other than that I don’t really care for it since…I don’t care about how well I do over the internet. Despite such that match we had was awesome. Down to the wire. Definitely wanna get more games against your Akira. I usually do player matches so you can look for me playing there.

Nice set there Bacardi. That is a serious Wolf you got there. Only other decent Wolf player I’ve played against is Spider Pig. You are definitely the Giant Swing King. I can’t even count how many times I got caught by that. Just teching it helps reduce the damage but it’s really hard to get the just timing on it. I usually get the regular tech timing and still take good damage. + 20 points damage on that last hit really hurts. Not to mention some of Wolf’s combos just do ridiculous damage. He’s definitely the best he’s ever been in this game. I had to really mix up strings and watch my sides vs. you. I need to start working on dealing with sidesteppers using Aoi. She has a lot of linear moves that can put her in trouble and she has some good half circle and full circle moves but most of them hit high which can also put her in trouble. If I don’t get to play you online before Friday night…cya in person Friday night.

ggs you were starting to get tricky there, I did mid parry once but the string eats thru the counter hit so I was stumped.

Ah…yeah Wolf has tough times dealing with fast strings. Gotta look for that situation to take advantage of and deal the big damage. I like Wolf a lot too. I should try learning him a bit just for the sake of figuring out how to deal with his throws and all that.

**GG’s also to Gl0ry. ** Definitely the hardest I’ve been beat online so far. Jacky is hella solid. No wonder everyone plays him in Japan. He just works. Some of those combos you did were ridiculous. Especially thanks to the super sweet connection we had. I almost knew the first fight I was gonna win was because of me taking advantage of the ring out. I saw I was near the corner and pulled out the cheap card to help win the match. I can’t beat you straight up. LOL. I maybe got like one or 2 more wins in but I got beat pretty hard otherwise. Your evasion game is really good. It’s tough to get a solid hit to connect against you. Seems like I gotta mix in throws here and there to keep up.

Aoi is definitely tough as hell to use. She doesn’t seem to have a lot of real strong half or full circle moves that hit in the mid range. It’s real easy for someone to just evade or duck under one of my attacks and punish. She has some good high ranged circular moves but most of her mid ranged moves are pretty linear. I really have to work the attack fakes and throws to keep up. I’ll continue to play her though. She’s a lot of fun and I like using the underused characters. I need to work on getting her 360 throws down as well. Relying on her combo throw all the time to do big damage off a throw isn’t really paying off.

Oh and I saved that last match we had where the game ringed me out after I crouch threw you. Guess it’s not a good idea to use that crouch throw when your side is to edge of the ring. I pwned myself there.

DJ01 are you still on Live?

Not as of tonight. Gonna sign off for the night. Got some last minute games in against Final Cut and I think that’ll do it. Send me a friend request so I can get at you sometime.

Oh and yeah…nice short set to Final Cut. Sorry I ignored your earlier requests. My bro was messing around in training mode offline so I never really saw them. Fun games despite the random ass lag spikes that kept kicking in. Eileen has a lot of little tricks to worry about. I never know where exactly she’s gonna attack from. Oh and yeah…I came through with that last minute reversal there. LOL. GG’s and I’ll try to get at you with some more games tomorrow. Friday I’m headed out for our big regional tourney on Sat. Can’t wait to get some good practice against the real VF5 heads.
