^ Well it sure did took a while after that. The question is how?
After some research, I’ve found some answers. The name for this trick is called Tsukamoto Style, I guess after the person who found it. Basically, because of the way the frames work once you’ve been sideturned, if you continue holding Guard while in the stun, you will still get hit due to the frame advantage. What you need to do is let go of Guard and then hit it again, from what I’ve read. Also, Jean only has 3 frames to actually land the next punch, so while it’s not a 1 frame thing, it’s not exactly easy to do either.
For characters that have RAW-like moves (Wolf, Taka, Lion, etc.), Tsukamoto Style is actually useless because all of them can just use their RAW move and get out of it. Similarly, if any character has a mid-punch sabaki, they can use that to get out of it.
Even if it was an infinite combo – and it’s not – the first posting about it was this year… two years after the game came out. So please shut the fuck up.

I haven’t watched any VF5R vids lately. Can anyone list some players or matches that I should see?
Chibita
This is one of my favourites

All that data on there is a new feature which can be applied when viewing a replay.
Homey be trolling. Move along.
Also, I been watching vids here and there but why is Shun considered one of the worst characters in the game? Mained him hard in 5 and was just wondering wtf happened
Koedo-Gorgeous (Eileen)-Aopai. Hell, Reno’s got some good matches with his Taka too.
Some good VF YouTube channels:
ArcadeCoreJapan
ogikage
nightwalkersue
This first round of that match reminded me of this Jacky vs Brad match.
Only the first round tho’.
He doesn’t do enough damage in 5R, and lots of characters can take away his drink points very easily now. To play Shun in 5R you gotta be very deceptive and sneaky, you can’t really go on the offensive until you have between 6 - 8 drinks now.
Actually, Reno if you’ve seen my local matches with my partner Ka I’d say that matches his style for Shun to a “T”, whereas in other people’s matches I’d see them using Shun far more aggressively. So it looks like even if the character is less powerful his playing style may help to close that gap, now. At least that’s what I’m thinking.

WHAT? Jacky can get guns in his win pose now? Customization is beast.
Well I can’t really say for certain, because I’ve never played Shun. All I know is that during VF5 there were a TON of Shun players, but I haven’t seen a Shun player since last year :X
if only VF was more like
Anyone know if VF:FS will have new characters?
Considering that 99% of people outside of Japan haven’t played 5R with Jean and Taka…then yes. They might as well be new characters as far as everyone here is concerned. New characters being added for just this update? Extremely doubtful. This is 5’s answer to Final Tuned, new system mechanics, balance changes, new animations, tons of new costumes, redesigned stages, and a partridge in a pear tree.
how are you gonna post a link to a match like that, with no explanation, but with some dumb rock on smileys, and *then *get on peoples cases for reacting to it in the most natural way.
I think Vanessa can do it too. And yeah, it is beast.
Game needs to come out now. Or at least give me more info.
Sega should release FT on PSN/Live Arcade to hold us over :wgrin:
Gotcha. I remember randomly picking Shun in 5 when I first played the game. He’s been my love ever since. Definitely want to try out Taka. Keep that sumo vibe alive.
